My playlist (mp3) opens normaly en plays wel. When I want to select on artist, album or genre it does'nt work. Artist list is emty. Does anyone know what to do?

Make sure your mp3's are all correctly tagged with id3tags (i prefer iso-8859-1 format). You can do this with a software such as 'mp3-tag' for example which is free available on the web.
Afterwards i recommend you to use 'clear history' option in Setup Menu and reboot the player so you scan the drive again.

I can't neither.
All my music files are mp3.
The ID3tags are ID3V2.4 UTF 8 no special characters in the tags.

What do you mean by you 'can't'.
Have you tried re-tagging them and rescanning the drive as mentioned above?

Last but not least try using the latest firmware with a safe-mode install:

Firmware: http://www.acryan.com/downloads/PV73800 ... .r7317.zip

Safe-Mode method:
* 1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
* 2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
* 3. Shut down the player, leave it on stand by.
* 4. Hold down the power button, and when you see the A.C Ryan logo on your TV, count to 15 seconds and release the power button.
* 5. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

Remember to switch on the Autoscan Option afterwards in SETUP -> SYSTEM -> Autoscan Storage and also try 'Clear History' before rebooting the device to initiate a fresh scan.

I have done exactly as you say multiple times.
I have the latest firmware installed and all the id3tags are ok: i have changed all of them.

Is it possible that a corrupt mp3 causes this problem?

Not sure why this would break the whole process. You can maybe try to just index 1 or 2 folders and check if that works. For example from a usb stick with only 2 albums on it or so. If that works than there might be 'something' in your collection that causes the problem.
