For what it's worth: I'm happy w. the new firmware.

I only use the Mini2 for watching movies (DVDs ripped as ISO).

Only real problem I have encountered so far, is lack of support for national character's in jukebox (entries w. national characters not displayed).

An improvement I would like to see in the future is option of adding indexes to shortcuts, so less clicking is necessary.

This is without any doubt the worst release I've ever installed on one of my AC devices (mini & mini2).

When playing divx via NFS, the sound stopped working after 1 hour. Rewinding multiple times was the only way to get the sound back. When the problem reappeared on the next file (next episode), I rebooted the mini2, but when I resumed the second episode sound and video where awfully out of sync.

Please give us a stable version. If the only way to accomplish this is by stripping out a bunch of features, please make us a stripped down firmware release.

I hoped things would be better with the new hardware & GUI, but I must conclude I don't like this device

Super strange... even that is not working anymore... what could be causing this? I start the WMV and the a circle with cross appears while before it was just working. I have several files of this format.

I cannot see the bitrate of files anymore while playing and push info button on rc. I liked that too.

@prodigy73: Circle with a cross could mean that the file is damaged. Maybe a chkdsk on your PC can fix the file/drive.

I have mini2 with r7317 release and YAMJ 2.6-SNAPSHOT r2912, the filter works fine in IE/ PC but on mini2 only "ALL" is displayed in filter title, genre, etc.etc.

Have someone in here the same problem?

Why is the list of things that have been fixed in 7317 identical to the list of items fixed in version 6629

Are you ashamed to admit you only actually changed a couple of items in all that time we waited for an update?

The reason for this is that we add all our changes from the last official release, to the next official release. As the r6629 (beta) was release in end of November, not that many changes were added from the last beta release.

The change log for r7317 is based from the last official release r5440. If we release beta firmware in between, we will only include the change for that release in the actual forum post.

This is how our change logs work.

We also released firmware to 5 products simultaneously. This also of course affects how much you can do / product.

I am trying a new firmware...

Does anybody use "STRETCH" zoom? I never! What is the reason to move it to second zoom option position?
I prefer "FILL", then "user" zoom. So now I have to press to "FILL" zoom 10 times

i prefere FIT..
some movies are oversized here, wel, i guess thats becouse i still use RGB as medium,hehe..

Unfortunately, this will be the first firmware that i will rollback from.

Reasons:
The unit does not always turn off - it just restarts.
Recognition of attatched USD devices has degraded - one of my drives no longer appears (as soon as i rollback to the previous firmware, it appears as usual.

Hope for a better firmware next time

(a stripped down, optimal firmware without alll the internet services would i'm sure be greeted with glee from many users)
