AC Ryan staff: instead of trawling through all the forum chatter, would it not be better to have a list of bug fixes, something like:

Description of problem/checked/result/intended release date

e.g.

Corruption on top of screen / confirmed to be a bug / developer in progress / 20/2/2012

These firmware releases appear to go round in circles.

Perhaps start a seperate thread for r7317 which only you have access to update.

That way i'm sure most of us will be happy to see that the issues have been noted and are being fixed/can't be fixed.

Regarding the Thumbnail issue, this is still present on all our platforms. We did not include it in the change log, but this is still present as a known and reproduce able issue.

there are loads of issues and when you look at the changelog there are a lot of new adds..
but a lot off issues are still there..

Looks like the simple fast forward issue (a bug after 2x) is still not resolved.

Is the scaning stable again now? the beta had issues here and reluctant to upgrade until i know its behaving itself? I think some people said it was becasue they inserted a USB device, causing the reboot loop and check disk error problems?

Can someone from ACR please confirm (seeing as I'm guessing the change log follows on from the offical release before the beta)? So hard to gauge whether bugs introduced in the beta have been fixed?

right! the only thing that i wanted has not been solved! turn ACR on, install the firmware using safe method. I get taken to initial set up screen, push return to go back to menus and guess what....


REBOOT LOOP REBOOT LOOP REBOOT LOOP! why o why has this not been fixed!!!

Update: after about 10 reboots the ACR stopped rebooting for about 5 minutes. I had a play in the menus setting stuff back up and when i went to version info it went back to home screen then rebooted several times. I tried to navigate down the menus and then REBOOT LOOP again!

Its now rebooting again and again! I'm downgrading to 5540 again! this is just awful! The fact that i got it to search on my music DB inbetween this reboots suggests its not corrupted!

And finally i just look up only to see all the desktop page page mucked up like what was seen in those screen shots where there looks to be corruption to the images in the beta!

I believe I experience the same behaviour with some but not all files. I keep increasing the FF speed but it doesn't increase anywhere near as much as it should.

I mentioned it quite a while ago now and obviously its still an issue....just like all of the other playback issues I've posted about that haven't been fixed since the Playon!HD2 came out.

Another firmware released and bugs that should never have made it to market in the first place are still there.

Can I get your take on this reboot issue! The only thing i can think of is the database file is unstable on the newer releases? can you try constructing a reasonably sized music database on 5540 and flash a unit with this firmware? and see if you promote the reboot loop?

has anything changed here? If i deleted my current DB and rescanned HDD in the new firmware would it resolve my issue! I obviously don't want to have to go through all this effort if it doesn't work!
