If you initially formatted your hard drive that is in general enough.
If you get a reboot, and are in a loop, simply remove the '.Theater' folder from your internal hard drive, and this reboot should be gone. You can do this by connecting the Playon!HD 2 with the USB-slave (blue cable) to your PC/Mac and delete the folder.
Br, Mikael It still boot loops for me EVEN if I delete the ".Theater" folder on a flash drive or USB 2TB HDD, therefore the boot looping has nothing to do with that. Ad

Br, This is not right thus. After the delete from '.Theater' folder, chkdsk must be running under Windows. The playon destroyed the file allocation table by errors on the NTFS partition. If you do do not chkdsk, if you have later broken files. Not immediately, it comes on it how often you copy move etc. this is very individual. It would be a pity to your movie collection. You can read this, but it is in german, use google translate. Greeting Steffen I ve got still the same problems. After copying some movies to AC Ryan and then connecting to USB 3.0 always WIN 7 makes chkdsk, otherwise the disc in AC Ryan will not be accepted. Sometimes files are destroyed or deleted. Same Problem with Original Software Version before. I always have to a backup with another 2TB HDD, after each upload, I am frustated.

+1 from me to! I agree it has it problems! They all have there problems, my WD Live would play up, it would play most files but not all, Playon has played neally all the files I've thrown at it! It could be alot worse, I agree more should've been done in the last 6 months to fix the problems! I really dislike the menu the most, the WD live was perfect for me! Bring on the new firmware guys, my god we need it! MC,

+1 I have major bugs since r5311. zoom problem... I have to convert all of my original dvd ISOs, because it couldn't fix temporary set zoom. HD2 can't note dvd ISO's is 16:9, and keep the 4:3 aspect ratio. When I set it to 130% / 100% I can't use left and right arrow... I thing it will never work... external HDDs go-zombie ... when r5311 came out, when turn off HD2, my external HDDs still online. When I disconnect the usb cable, it still online, and I have to turn off... thanks HD2 for say stuoid things for HDDs. So, I have to use r4585. frustrating internal HDD cognition... I have to restart my HD2 more times to init the internal HDD... Of course it isn't r6629's promblem... I'm waiting for the new firm, but I'm very disappointed user. I bought this ACR, because my friends said it's a very good company with good products.

Hi guys & a quick reminder, please keep the firmware topics clean and avoid posting off-topic messages and/or +1s etc. For the readability of this forum it is much appreciated if you post your other issues in the according sections of our forum. Please only post firmware related things here all other off-topic messages will be deleted and/or edited. Please also do note our reputation point system. Instead of bumping topics you can give users now a reputation point in case you think they have contributed in any way or you agree with their posts. We also would like to encourage you to post technical problems in the according forum sections. It is very hard for us to go through the firmware topic and have conversations with multiple people. Usually you get 'better' help if you suite yourself in the according section i.e. Technical Issues if you have a technical problem. Last but not least the direct contact is the quickest and easiest way to get support. So if you have urgent matters we recommend you to contact our support department directly via phone/email/pm. You have all the contact details here depending on where you are located: www.acryan.com/supportWe are of course working on a firmware at this very moment and we hope to resolve several issues and have the testing done soon. Depending on how this all goes we will announce a firmware update through our official channels as usual. Thanks & best regards,

New firmware has been released and you can grab it here http://www.acryan.com/support/ACR-PV73700/I have not finished downloading it yet therefore I have not had any actual experience with it. If all of the issues mentioned in the change log are fixed and the other changes well implemented, then it seems like a pretty decent firmware update.
