+1 from me too. AC Ryan is "doing the duck" as we say in Greek language means that they are fizzing indifferently...

 Re: [Release Candidate] ACR-PV76120 v8.5.x.r5440 Playon!DVR-
I used v8.5.4.r3966 and except of unusable EPG it worked.
I tried to upgrade to v8.5.x_r5440_RC using safe update and faced troubles. The device reboots randomly after pressing any key on remote. I even got to state when device rebooted periodically from the home page after start. The only solution was to connect it via USB and delete .Theater folder. Not much comfortable...
As another excercise it several times hung up and the only way was to unplug it from power.
During random restarts NTFS partition got corrupted. Win chkdsk fixed it, but some files were lost.
Finally I gave up and returned to v8.5.x_r3966 using USB update. It looks much more stable.
Surprisingly, disk turns off after certain time. Looks like leftover from fw 5440, although/because no entry is available in setup menu.
Will we once get usable fw or does Ryan want to make us to throw 76120 to trash and buy another box?

device sat there with "LOADING" on front LED display panel for 12 hours now and instructions say do not turn off during flashing. appears to have stalled although the USB key is flashing indicating it's data is being accessed. what now ?
TV stuck on the ACRYAN logo/welcome screen. See my other post: I solved it by downgrade to v8.5.4.r3966. The better EPG is not worth to rebooting device.

Hello Croat
In that case, their (former, current and potential) customers will not or no longer be interested in AC Ryan.

I think the ACR guys already burried the DVR firmware project and enjoying our posts as comedy scripts, siting on the grave. May the Firmware project Rest In Peace!!!

Don't speak too soon. I've just received word that new firmware is definitely on the way. Apparently testing will begin after the Chinese New Year holidays are over.
