 Re: [Beta] Firmware_Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r6629
Connected this media player to Pioneer Receiver SC -LX75 using HDMI cable, I'm turned it on first before the receiver and it was unable detected by the receiver. Have to reset the receiver and try again with turn on receiver first than follow by AcRyan? Anybody know why and any idea how to resolve.. Thanks

 Re: [Beta] Firmware_Playon!HD2_v9.5.3.r6629 - 2TB HDD Delete
kolobos wrote: Whilst i thought the new firmware was working faster etc. i was very dissapointed when i switched the unit off and on a bit later to find my HDD screwed? It was constantly reporting no HDD and even when connected via USB3 it required formatting to use. OVER 1TB OF DATA GONE FOREVER!!! I thought this firmware was going to be better? whilst i will try to support it i may be discouraged if my HDD is screwed each time. Yes i have removed it now and reflashed again. Drive formatted through pc connection via USB3 so lets go see what the story is now This is also one of the NTFS write error problem. The MBR of the hard disk is corupted. Make chkdsk. Makes no difference. What speed is your network 10/100 or 1000 bps. I am using 1000 which is gigabit, the fastest.

Beta works good for me. On/off is verry quick now but only when USB is disconnected. Still the conformation when i deleted somtehing, this is unnecessary and time resuming.
I do not understand your philosofie about the subs. In my old TVIX i could choose any sub available. Even when the name did not corresponded with the file name. This was verry handy because i do sometimes uses sub from other movies/series. With the HD2 i have to rename all the subs the same name as the file. This does not make me happy.
this would not so difficult to add in the new firmware?

this would not so difficult to add in the new firmware? Hello, This is done according to media playback / standards. That it will always pick up the subtitle name based on the movie name and this will always work. This was changed when we added the universal setting for subtitles in 'Setup>Misc>Subtitles' or the subtitles function would not be as stable as you noticed in our previous releases. This will not be changed again, and this is actually how it's suppose to be, even if I also agree that it would be handy to pick any subtitle no matter what name, I do hope this explains a bit. Br,

Come on chaps the HD2 needs fixing aswell............. Hello, We have a internal test version that we are currently testing. So this is on it's way! We noticed some minor things that will need some updates, another revision is expected very soon, and then we will know more if this firmware will be around the corner or if it needs more work. When this process is done we will naturally release this. Thanks

I'm am becoming quite sceptic after seeing the previous releases. I really start to wonder what your so called programmers have been doing with the earlier releases. My 2 cents: this product was released way to soon to the public. This next release better be good. If not, I really am considering another mediaplayer. And I will definitely not be going back to ACRyan in the future... And sure, delete the complaints...

Hello and thanks for your input, We have released 7 new firmware after the initial release and a 8th is coming, and this in less than 1x year. I don't think it's the speed that should be criticized. The serious issues that are left to cover are unfortunately not easy to solve for us when we are working on a closed SDK. That is why we require our hardware manufacturer to solve them. This is the reason there are several/identical issues with other Realtek players as well. We have forum rules, and if you are not able to follow them your post will be deleted, simple as that. These are there for a reason, and if you browse around our forums you will see that we do leave big freedom to our community to express both negative and positive input. In this area, I'm sure we are very lenient for a company. If the firmware is letting you down in any area, please feel free to contact our support directly as we are in many cases able to direct our users to good solutions and depending on your issues, able to help. As I'm not up to date with your own issue/s therefore I'm not able to give you any advise or help, more than reply to your input regarding our firmware release. The latest regarding HD2+Mini2 firmware is that we are currently focusing on these to be tested and later released. Thanks for your patience! Br,
