But is your PC a member of the workgroup WORKGROUP?
Right click on Your Computer, select Properties > Computer name > Change > check Workgroup and complete the box.

Any firewalls running on your PC and/or router that block traffic between your PC and the Playon?
Do you have a wired or a wireless connection between your Playon and your router?

HI,
I formartted the hard drive again and now able to see PLAYONDVRHD on my network unlike earlier. But when I try to access it I get a error "window can not access \\PLAYONDVRHD".. Check spelling name etc....
I have checked firewal.. its turned off at my PC level. Device is connected thru wire. Able to ping in command prompt. Upnp is on Samba is on.
Please advice.

Please try to check if you enable the Net BIOS on your PC. If it still show you the same, then i will suggest to uninstall the windows live essential on your PC.

Tx guys,
Formatting the hdd via Ac Ryan player solved the problem. Now able to see and transfer files between acryan and computer .
