Yes you can, login to your account then follow below instructions.

1. While inside your mail inbox, press "setting" on the remote (below left with three squares)
2. From the options that will appear at the bottom, choose compose.
3. Press the "setting" button again on the remote, a new option will pop up below.
4. Choose "Add attachment" then select Gallery or ES File Explorer to look for the file.
5. After finding the file to attach, double press "select" button on the remote to attach it in the mail.

Hope you can try it.

thanks for answer and yes this way works, however I looked for the other way from the Galery app to send one out. I ask this because I have this kind of functionality on my smartphones (Gingerbread and ICS) to send marked pictures with the option "send via" like email, Google+ and others applications and now I ask myself is this maybe Froyo / gallery app relatetd?

I checked another gallery app from market quickpic / justpictures and there I have the functionality to select one or multible photos and send via email and btw this app feel snappier then ther original app, at least when you have a hugh amount of pics :-)

No problem :) Yes you're correct, phone is supporting this feature but sad to say that on the player you need to have an app like what you said... quickpick to do that.
