Playon!HD Essential + Playon! USB wireless N Dongle, how to
Hi. I just would like to know how can I set up the Playon!HD Essential + Playon! USB wireless N Dongle to play the file stored on the Buffalo NAS via the wireless router.
I got the icon of the Dongle enable and managed to connect to the network and got the IP for the Playon!HD Essential. But everytime I try to log on to the NAS via the file manager, it show log on fail.
PS. I could access and play the movie on the NAS from my ipad2 and HTC EVO3d without any problem.
Thanks.

Sorry for any inconvenience. But first of all i would like to inform your that the wireless support for the essential is not meant to playback videos from your NAS, the wireless network support for this model is been added only for you to use and stream Internet radio from the box. Although you can stream photo and music but playing video is a different story.
The devices you mentioned are not using the same network protocol as the player, you might need to check the NAS if it does have set the read and write mode settings, proper file sharing.

Thanks Roger. But I just try to search the same problem from the forum and find the below thread. viewtopic.php?f=147&t=14347and viewtopic.php?f=143&t=13852&start=0Actually my ipad can see my NAS as both SAMBA ans uPnP and can play the file on it. I am not sure if your reply is mean to avoid the user complication or actually the POHD essential cannot play the file from the NAS.
