Post Re: [Beta] Firmware_Playon!HD Mini2_PV73800_v9.5.5.r6629
Hi ....
Point 11 in the change log :
"11. Fixed missing audio channels when playing back video with multi-channel AAC audio via an external amplifier "

This does not seem to be true. I have tried a few files with multi-channel AAC and it still only sends 2 channels to an amp through the HDMI connection. Can someone please confirm that this is issue still not fixed.

Regards

Hello,

For this to work properly, you need to use the following audio setting, HDMI: LPCM Multichannel setting. If this is not the case, please let us know how you are connected with your hardware, what settings you are using, but also what files you have this issues with.

A mediainfo extract is the best way for us to see details of your files. You can this free program here -> http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download install and open the file you have issues with, then go to 'File>Export>Text> Select 'advanced mode' and save a .txt that you can PM me for further details.

Last 2 beta firmwares i have a problem with audio not working after playing two or more mkv's.
Only way to restore audio is switching the box off and restart or going to the audio menu and temporarily switch audio output to passtrough and then back to lpcm.
I also have a problem with the shortcuts not being saved properly so i have to add them every time (need to do some more investigating though).

Hi Mikael,

That did the trick......all working...Thanks. I did not notice that this option had returned.

Cheers

I've only just had a chance to play with the new release - thanks for fixing many of the subtitle bugs but it still doesn't display coloured subs in colour. We still get <font color=#00FF00> rather than seeing the line in colour.

(This was with a .srt subtitle merged into a .mkv file, if it makes any difference.)

Hello,

Sorry, this is not possible, and also not any standard with any hifi equipment.

Hmmm... Will we get a x-mas gift one month after releasing the beta firmware?
Beta was released Nov. 25th...

Normally I try betas (and especially this one because of fixing the subtitle issue) but I'm really afraid of getting also the "coverbug"...

Is there a way to switch back to the recent firmware? Then I will try the beta...

Regards
Peter

Hi,

upgrading/downgrading works the same way. You can just download an older firmware and install that if you don't like the newer one.

cheers,

Maybe i am doing something wrong but my shortcuts don't appear in the My Shortcuts tag.
The only place where they work if i go to the filemanager and then to my shortcuts; they showup there but not in the My Shortcuts on top of the menu....
