is there anybody who can say something about the fastness of ethernet transmission in Mbytes/s.

I haven´t seen anything about.

From the official AC Ryan website:

The HD2 can reach (under optimal conditions) about 10 megabytes/second, although people have reported lower values of 4-8 megabytes/second. The gigabit part is for streaming only, file transfer is significantly slower as the processor cannot handle all the data. So this is significantly lower than the theoretical value of around 30 megabytes/second for 100 Mbit.

The wired Gigabit LAN interface provides for two types of transfer:
a. data: 10/100 Mbps
b. videostreaming: 10/100/1000Mbps
The Realtek RTD1185 chip provides for these interfaces.
With Google one can find the Realtek chip diagram as well as specifications.
