Can the PlayonHD2 play mpls file ? I am currently running the latest firmware and when I go to the playlist folder of a bluray, it can't seem to see any mpls files. it can only see the m2ts files.
i can't really find a thread that discusses this. Nowdays to play bluray files, we will need the mpls files as the m2ts files are now broken to smaller pieces.

Hi sorry mpls is not supported. But if your talking about full Blu-Ray movie folder, you don't need to worry as the player is supporting this. You can still get and play seamless playback using Blu-ray movie folder by pressing "play" button on the remote while you are at the folder itself.

Roger, does your method use the BD-Lite menu? Any extras on the disc (or sometimes even the main feature) are not always accessible in this menu. Shouldn't be too hard to parse an MPLS file? This would make lots of people happy!

BD-Lite Menu is supported due to the lack of proper JAVA implementation. If you want to play extra's you can try to use the 'goto' button in some cases you can select the title/chapter etc. directly otherwise you will not be able to select extra's etc.

There is also nothing planned at this point to improve or change the way how this works. For playing back your movie directly just mark/focus the folder and press 'play' directly on the folder - just as Roger mentioned.
