Because the library recompiles every time you switch the unit on (and consequently slows the whole unit down) I have disabled it. Therefore I don't use the movie & music choices on the start page. Instead I exclusively use the file manager. I am sure the bulk of other users do this too, so if possible could you make the FIRST choice on the home page the Files Manager? Surely it makes sense? Thanks.

The list would/should be like this:
Files Manager
Movies
Music
Photos etc...

first choice now is shortcuts,
but indeed then files manager and then the rest would be nice indeed,
maybe put the filters (which "movie" "image" "music" are ) all the way down
just above setup.

besides on your remote by pressing the button "files" you will
go into Files manager directly.

Agreed, The auto scan basically makes the device unusable, So I too have disabled auto scan and only use the file manager. Having File Manager as first option does make sense.

Would also be great to see a recently added screen ( not directly on home menu )
If we could see a list of last 20 added movies or something along those lines would be great, so we don't have to resort to the file manager every time.

if there's a button for file manager then it does need to be at the top?

I think the other options "music" etc should be allocated to the coloured buttons so you can go directly to them!

I do have auto scan on as i like the year, artist, album filtering! so have to wait 5 minutes or so for it to settle down! I noticed on the latest firmware even with the auto scan off the menus options work once you have a database, the only annoying thing is when you want to add more music for example!

For me this ruined my database (turning auto scan back on) I'm currently on the previous firmware!

Please hurry up and fix the scanning its the key to making the unit usable, and faster!
