Hi there, i have been trying to set up a Playon!HD (i think its a 2) and ive set up all of the above:

The computer has a password so when i added a new shared folder into the network section I enter the user name, password and ip address. it creates the folder and states login successful.
I have set up a shared folder named "media" on which i wish to be able to put movies music etc into and access from the device. I am able to see the folder on the Playon!HD however when i enter it i am confronted with a Network Login Screen asking for a username and password then it has 3 buttons below, ok and save, ok or cancel. I do not know what to enter into this, i have tried the computers user name and password. i have tried the computers username and the "homegroup" password, i have tried putting in "homegroup" and the home group password i have no clue why it continues to say login failed and disallows us to access the files in the folder? any help would be much appreciated and also is there a way to set them up for Mac book Pros?

Did you run the registry file ?

I have done everything on these forums and it still fails to work on the windows 7 computer. it continues to come up with a Network username/password when i go to open shared file???? please help.

Followed the guide , but when i had to restart, my pc didnt start up again ?

Finally got it started again, but still cant see shared folders, im using win7, and latest update

I've bought an Mini 2 today. But it doesnt even find my fileserver. My server (win7) has disabled firewalls for now, but it stil cant find him. I shared the shares like the How To, and did the registry settings.
My Dune Prime 3.0 works fine with these shares. But the Mini 2 cant find him. But the fileserver can find the Mini 2 fine and can connect to him (but he has no drive, so there nothing share).

The stranged thing is that he can find my gamepc, and that one has no shares... and is more protected/closed than my fileserver..
Also the mini finds the dune sometimes, but mostly he cant find him..

Someone has an Idea?
Otherwise i will send him back and buy another dune...

Does your file server supports Samba protocol ?

Hmm, dont, windows 7 does i guess. But it isnt necessary anymore. Somehow he did find the server last night, and I didnt changed anything after the registry settings+ reboot.The only thing I did is watched an movie from my Dune (he also connects the server).

So i made some Shortcuts and tried it again an few minutes ago. And it still wurked. So problem solved i guess.

Strange things happens sometimes

I followed the two steps, but still cannot log on in AC Ryan. Always get the message Cannot log on.

I have a NAS Synology and my AC Ryan connect to my router ( cable)

My laptop can see my Computer and my Nas under the network, but I cannot see my AC Ryan in my Laptop????

When i go to network in my AC Ryan and i go to workgroup, I can see :

NAS

Patrick- PC ( my laptop)

I can log on to my NAS, but when i try to log on to my Patrick PC, it always fails?


What am i doing wrong? ( i think in my router i can see i have a Dynamic IP, but am not sure about this)

Why cant i see my AC Ryan in my Network in my Laptop?
