Post Automaticly suspend mode ?
I'm having a annoying issue with my VEOLO :

I'm using it to share my USB drive data through SAMBA.
All works fine, exept when you are not using the device for x minutes.

The Veolo goes in a powersaving mode or something and the white light in front of the device goes out.
After a while I cannot connect to the device share anymone.

Reactivating the device makes the device accessible again.

Any sollution for this issue ?

Hi,

that's correct the VEOLO will go into some kind of power saving mode if you don't use it but it shouldn't go into this 'idle' mode while you are copying or downloading files. Does this happen while you access SAMBA?

To your usb problem - what kind of hdd and which file system are you using? Make sure it's NTFS. The upcoming firmware will improve the handling of bigger files being copied over the network.

best regards,

Not while using SAMBA.
Only if the VEOLO isn't in use for a while.
After a while you cannot access SAMBA anymore.

thanks for the answers Arne.
Im using an WD harddisk NTFS format.

About the saving mode correct me if im wrong but the veolo has a nas function but when i have to restart the veolo everytime i want to acces the usb hd connected to the veolo its not what i aspected because this works fine on the playon hd2.
for me it is one of the main reasons i bought the veolo!

Hi,

i was using our internal test firmware for this again and didn't experience this. The VEOLO was running over night and went to the 'idle' mode. Front lights where off. I than browsed my network from my laptop and could see it in the network and access the connected usb stick. I transferred 700mb .avi file without problems.
I will try this a bit further to check if we have problems still with this but otherwise i would recommend you to recheck it with the new firmware that will come soonish.

cheers,
