 Re: [Beta] Firmware_Playon!HD Mini2_PV73800_v9.5.5.r6629
I have tried some different films and it appears the original issue I was having where the 30 second jump would not work was due to the mkv rather than the Mini2. Played the same file on the pc and it was acting up as well. Yes the thumbnail browsing is slow and the machine had a couple of reboots but that was probably down to me

TELNET! I really really want / need it for my (long list) of NAS shares, 'locally' mounted on a (very) small USB used by the POM2, which I consider the better alternative for Shortcuts!

 Re: [Beta] Firmware_Playon!HD Mini2_PV73800_v9.5.5.r6629
Applied new firmware without problem to my problematic Mini2.
I've always had issues with playback over wireless connected to a Freenas box, however, this firmware "appears" to have cured the issue. Yet I've not seen anything regarding NFS/wireless support updates - any ideas AC Ryan?
On another note, when entering the NFS Client location, i.e. ipaddress and mount point, the mount point entry dialog does not show that the Edit key is required to go from say symbols back to alphanumeric entry. I'm sure I never had this issue before. The Edit key does not even appear on the list at the bottom, so it was only by trial and error that I was able to enter:

@Springdale: Are you sure you never encountered this before? Passthrough means the digital audio signal in your file is transferred as-is to the receiver/amp/TV. This also means you lose volume control, as for this you would need to alter the digital signal. When you connect it with your TV through HDMI can you control the volume on the player remote or only with the TV? Maybe HDMI has a bit of different way compared to SPDIF, but my experience (HTPC via HDMI to amp) is that passthrough audio means controlling through your amp.

@vanhal: I did, I just said I am sorry for this not being fixed. I understand what you mean, but should this be by design 1) why isn't it mentioned in the manual 2) why the OSD volume control isn't disabled when SPDIF is enabled 3) why does it work with DIVX/XVID video files?

Having exact the same issues as below: zeryus wrote: gerisf wrote: There is clearly a problem with thumbnails in this version. If you select a folder with many pictures or movies and scroll down you can see vertical lines in the GUI.
PV73800_v9.5.5.r6629 I have also experienced this (although a bit differently). My movie folder has a around 70 movies, each in its own folder and browsing in thumbnail view did not update the thumbnails properly when you either go up or down to the next row. And at the same time when it has trouble updating the thumbnails, a horisontal color-crash block/bar is visible at the 2/3 top right on my screen.

I'm finding that the slightest glitch in sound causes the sound to go off and the only way to get it back is to press pause, wait a few seconds and then play again. I had this happen four times in one xvid and two in another.
