Is there scope to look at the Wireless/NFS client handling abilities of the device?

I'm almost ready to put the device in the bin!

Wireless handling will and cannot be improved. We have raised this several times - it's just how the firmware works in combination with hardware. The samba protocol however will be worked on in terms of stability.
What's your precise issue with NFS at the moment since i think it works pretty ok besides the bug with Windows NFS servers - but for that exist a workaround.

cheers,

Hi,

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm not : with previous firmware releases, when you were watching several episodes (from the same folder), the one after the other, when you stopped watching, you came back to the file selection menu, with the latest episode (the one you were just watching) highlighted. This is not the case any more : if you start one episode, watch two of three, and stop playing, you come back to the file menu, and the first episode you watched is highlighted ...

So, if you want to know which episode you were watching, you have to remember how many you've seen, from the first one you watched, which is really not very handy.

Well I hope I made myself clear :-)

In fact, the best option would be to have, either :
1. An option, when you power the box, to resume where you were when you powered down it,
2. Event better, something that would tell you which files are already seen. Very handy if you follow several series !

Apart from that, I really like my Mini2 !

regards !

Indeed, marking shows/films as watched (by displaying them as grey instead of white) would be ideal but I'm not holding my breath...

To the Mods:

Would you please be so kind and implement an client access to the POHD2 like it does exist for other A.C.Ryan players, ie. <IP>:1024 or similar?
I´d really appreciate such an option, i.e. listening webradio, where it is not necessary to have the TV on with the player connected to an AV-Receiver by Toslink.
An elaboration on such an option would be the possibility to save radio stations (their stream links) straight in the player, which would make it unnecessary to click on shoutcast and then select an appropriate station or favourite. This option exists on my Pinnacle Homemusic Box, which I had before, being a pure net audio player though.

Dear Duivels,

I have read there is a fix for the audio not working with spdif. (have to switch back and forth between the audio options for it to work again, every single time). Would it be possible to release a beta firmware pretty please with a cherry on top?

There is no need to do it step-by-step. Just go directly to the version you want to use.

Cheers

Hi,
I am increasingly being bothered with random reboots of my Mini2.
For example it mostly takes two cycles of a reboot to get the mini 2 started. Also when browsing menu's reboots happen a lot (randomly).
Fortunately not during watching something.

I always update my mini2 the safe way, using 9.5.5.r5440 now

Can this PLEASE be addressed in the next firmware release, it is about the only complaint about the mini2 I have these days, but it is an annoying one!
