I searched the forum for my problem but could find a solution for it, so here is my question.

I'v recently updated my playonHd to the new firmware verstion:
v7.4.4.4 r5440
now the copy page is removed how can I copy / move files and folders?!? I know it should work with the edit button.. BUT there aint one on my ac ryan remote! ..

I also tried the "web remote" but that one also doesn't seem to know the edit button (the off button seems to be missing also since the update but that's another thingy )

Is there some other way I can copy my files like I used to (without the use of pc)? That would be great!

Select the file with the File manager and then press Confirm on your remote for a menu on the right side of the screen which gives options for copying, deleting etc.

Welk it seemed to suppose to work that way But while moving a folder my playonHd crashed and rebooted. When I put it on it will reboot every time the hd is initialized . I have removed the hd then it will work.
But when I connect the hd agrain it reboots at hd unit again :-/ anyone know how to fix this (preferred without formatting the drive of course)

It seems your db is broken.
Delete the files in the .Theater folder and if available the .part file.
Then check the hd with chkdsk.

Hello,

If you manually delete the '.Theater' folder from the internal hard drive the reboot will stop.

When you use the GUI/interface to copy TO your local storage, then this bug will occur. This is known and reported. If you want to keep the r.5440 firmware, you have to use any of the other methods right now to transfer files.

FTP, enable the 'Setup>Network>FTP' option and connect to the player from your PC with a FTP client.

Samba from your PC, enable 'Samba' in Setup>network'. Then connect to your Playon!HD's internal hard drive with hostname or IP. From your PC, type in Start>run/search -> \\hostname or ip

Neighbor web: Type the IP address to the Playon! from your web browser and add :1024 -> ipaddress:1024

You can also use NFS network protocol to transfer files.

Just to mention a few workarounds until the GUI/Interface file copy bug is sorted.

Thnx Mikael & Steffen removing the .Theater worked. Well then I won't try that again Hope it will be fixed soon. the new GUI is improved a lot and a lot faster because there is no preview anymore so I won't recover an old firmware for not being able to copy with the GUI .
