So just to confirm it.. there WILL BE an update and there is no plan of retiring the product yet???
Sorry to be paranoid, but I had a bad experience with my previous player where similar thing happened and pretty much all of us got stuck with buggy product because manufacturer decided to move on with new product range and decided it is not worth working on the old stuff...

At least give us assurance that there will be an update...
I may speak for myself but i'm quite sure many of us share same thought.. are we getting stuck with current firmware and if not why is it taking so long..
I know your answer is that you're waiting on realtek.. but then again on your post above you are stating that you are working on it.. so does it mean that you have received some updates from realtek and you are testing / adjusting etc to the playon.. or "we're working on it" means "realtek is working on it"
As stated on previous posts, lots of bugs we have are realtek sdk based bugs...

Realtek and we are working on it to be clear. Our developers always work on improving the firmware as far as we possibly can. Some bugs as you mentioned correctly are Realtek related and have been escalated to them.
There is not much more i can tell you except that we will have to wait until it's ready.

Hope you guys understand..

best regards,

Arne,

You say 'You hope we understand'.......

For once, put yourself in our situation, do you not agree that it is completely unacceptable that you cannot even offer a rough timescale of when a fix will be available. I cannot believe Realtek/AC Ryan are unable to commit to a month or even to say Q1, Q2 etc. How is the relationship between both companies ?

It's a good job that you don't offer refunds as I am sure that most people who have contributed on this forum would return what has never worked correctly or as advertised from day 1.

So give us some hope, will it be December 2011, Jan 2012 or further off ?

Shall we place bets on receiving a positive response ?

I'm ready to bet with You or with anybody from AC (or moderators) that new, FULLY OPERATIONAL, fw will NOT show up.

During my waiting I have lost possibility to return 76120 to Conrad.at.
And now i have biggest dilemma:should i hit Playon to the wall or drive my car over it? And upload video so people have something to think about...
I don't care about relations between AC and Realtek and it looks to like Realtek don't care about AC.They can sleep in a same bed, if You ask me.
Just try to send mail to Realtek and ask for ACRyan, answer is: ACwho?
So from my perspective it is better for me to buy cheap DVR from madeinchina or alibaba and have same support...

Hello,

A staff member posted about 1 week ago and it's also one of the last replies to this thread, and that there is currently no change in that status, but we will naturally let you know when we have news to tell.
