Just received my veolo yesterday.
This morning i installed it and everything went well, nice white light in the front to tell me that it's on, put it on standby with the remote after an hour and the front led came up red to tell me that it was in standby. Now i want to look at it again and i see that the front led is out, all black.
Using the remote does nothing. the power button on the side does nothing.

The device has power because the optical out is burning, but the device does not respond anymore.
already removed it from the power.

is there a way to reset the damn thing or is ready for RMA?


i own a mini 1 & 2, never had this problem before.

You can once try to upgrade it via safe-mode as in our old products but if it's like you say iam almost sure this would be a RMA case - sorry for those inconveniences but as every piece of electronics it might be a faulty unit that you got in the first place.

Bought Veolo from Singapore to use in Indonesia.
Plug HDMI and the power...
Nothing happen ???
No light at the device, No signal on the TV.

Is it RMA too?

last year, I bought 6 units AC-RYAN (Play-On), it seems the Veolo is the worst quality for AC-CRYAN products.

Please help if it is not a faulty product....

Hi, sorry for any inconvenience. After plugging the power cord the front panel light should lit up to tell you that the player in powered. If in case you do not have any light at all and the display is not coming out of the TV, I might suggest first to try reinstalling the sofware. Please follow the procedure below. If it does not work sad to say that you have a faulty device, please contact your vendor for you to know how to get a replacement.

Download the firmware from here http://www.acryan.com/downloads/VE91200/Firmware_version.1.0.0.627.veolo_Asian.zip

Please use the safe mode/recovery flashing step from here http://www.acryan.com/downloads/VE91200/Readme_version.1.0.0.627.VEOLO.pdf

Hiya did it work ? My unit was ok last night (but no wireless) and now the panel is also all black. :lol:

Switch off the mains also didn't help. remembered reading something about this so thought I re-read this again but wondering if you have had success or kena or RMA ....

1st day: No Wireless
2nd day: No can use

I wonder about the 3rd day. :think:

Please assist. Tried the method outlined above and nothing happened. The Veolo remains unlit (except for optical port). The USB blinks once and nothing. Does this mean the unit is not working or dead ?? Do I need a RMA ?

Read Rogers post above. Did you try reinstall the software? If you cannot do that you need to switch the unit. Very sorry for this but if reinstalling the software doesn't solve it there is nothing more you can do for now.

Yea, I did try to reinstall the software and flash the firmware. I did exactly what was told, loaded the f/w into a USB, plug into the Veolo, switch off the mains, held the ON switch and turned on the mains again.

The screen remained blank and nothing happened. Try it 3 times with no success whatsoever. Can I just drop by Ubi or do I need to wait for a RMA ?

If you are not able to flash the firmware, or reset the player, and it's not starting/working. Then please contact your re-seller or our direct support for help.

I just bought VEOLO @ April 14 2012, with initial firmware 627 and updated to 932 smoothly. But last night when I turn off VEOLO, I noticed that the red light didn't show up, just blank. I've been thinking maybe its just hang. then I unplugged the power for few minutes and put it back on. but still no light appear. I looked in the forum similar problem has occurred in this thread :

I already contact the support, they said :

"Based on your description, it seems that the issue is either the AC adapter or the unit itself. Thus it is recommended to contact the retailer that you have purchased the unit from to get a replacement unit. You have to check with them on their RMA procedures as each retailers and distributors have their own service policy."

Oh well since still warranty... :stepout:
