Hey Dodger, I didn't pay my money to Realtek, but to ACRyan.
This so called company has some responsibilities to its customers, all right!

If they can't make working firmware, they should not release even a RC.

If they can't fix it (and don't care because of Realtek or whatever) they should recall it and all customers should get a refund. By "fixing it" I mean in a reasonable time, not somewhere in the next three years...

The way I see it though, they don't care. Honestly, they don't give a sh* about US.

Yea, I'm talking to you guys. Yes YOU, their most loyal customers who are coming here and constantly check for updates, ask questions, submit bug reports, explain issues, try to help each other and... share grief!

When was the last time any of the ACRyan staff came in here. And when was the last time when they came, to ACTUALLY say something specific, something helpful, something useful, something to clear the plans for... well, for everything basically... what's gonna happen to our PlayONs, to US.

If you think that things will change, forget it. I'm waiting for this for 2 years already.

The worst customer support ever !!!

Come on guys, how much longer do we have to wait to get a decent update! At least give us some feedback and a ball park figure of a release date!

Think we should re-phrase our question...
Have you got any news from realtek regarding the firmware update???
As stated earlier, all those bug fixes we are all after are out of acryan's hands... There are pourely realtek sdk bugs, and since there is no open source for that, all of us (including ac ryan) can do nothing but wait..
On the other hand would be nice if A.C Ryan continues to fix GUI related bugs... so at leat we have that sorted out (or even further improved)
By the looks of things, it seems like realtek is actually retiring the chipset, in which case we will be all stuck with what we got now..
Would be nice if A.C Ryan starts developing / pushing for the android driven PVR (see VEOLO)
Android driven devices have a huge potential.. just look at the hardware specs.. they eat realtek and sigma chipset devices for breakfast...

Hm, hm.
Hope for working FW fading.
Not even moderators tries to convince us that is on the way.
At Conrad.at they even stopped to offer 76120...
This forum i sin the same group like older DVR products...

Convince me that I am wrong AC Ryan...
