We offically announce the release of the new Firmware r2688 !Check the following links for the Downloads and the Change Log including a Guide How to update it correctly ! Please make sure you grab the right firmware for your player !

Two methods to flash the firmware to your Playon Essential
Normal flashing procedure (Recommended):1. Download and extract the .install.img and bin.wifi.zip into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Enter the Setup menu, System, USB Upgrade and Enter to confirm.
3. The firmware update will start flashing on your display in a moment and will automatically reboot when
update is completed
**Do not power off the unit during the flashing process!**Safe-mode flashing procedure:1. Download and extract the .install.img and bin.wifi.zip into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Shutdown the player.
4. Press and hold down the power button in front of the player for 15 seconds.
5. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.
