I've just joined these forums, "first time on forums",and would like to share how I sorted out my rebooting problem on my playon dvr when accesing index.html files.Hope I make sense.
I first installed Muviejukebox v1.03 and scaned 2 movies.I then took the jukebox folder it created in the movie directory and and the YAMJ GUI Config (ACR) v1.0.3.exe and kept it aside.

After downloading the latest 2.5-SNAPSHOT Revision: r2711, I created a folder,yamj and extracted the contents of the snapshot into this folder,and copied YAMJ GUI Config (ACR) v1.0.3.exe into the yamj directory.

Before running the YAMJ gui 1.0.3.exe , i put the jukebox folder which I first created into the new movie folder to scan and the ran the exe.First set the moviejukebox properties to ( mjb.jukeboxClean=true)

After I did this ,no mater what movies I add or remove, I do a rescan and I've never had a reboot since.
If I create a new movie folder, I alway use this jukebox folder and copy it into the movie folder first before scanning.
Works every time. Hope this bit of info helps.

It could be down to the fact the playonhd has absolutely no idea of the time whatsoever. So if there is a large difference in time (even backwards is possible) it could be causing the reboot problems.

Older firmware the playon used to be able to sync with an internet time point but that has long since been removed for some utterly unknown reason.

The .xml pages are created inb the PC - which is synced to the internet

Are AC Ryan's developers able to explain why the Other_new_1 files cause the firmware to reboot?
I think they need to give us a bit of help here

Indeed they are generated on the PC, but the dates of films etc stored on the playonhd (admitedly the internatl HD version) have utteraly random timestamps so that might be contributing. Though if the mini, which you have and has this problem, and the movies have a proper date/time stamp then it's not an issue

I've now upgraded to V2.5 and my main library didn't cause the Mini to reboot. When I get time I'll try the test Jukebox again to see if the two test movies still cause problems

Some good news Omertron - I can reliably create the reboot scenario. It's linked to the Other_New_1 page being blank. I upgraded to YAMJv2.5 and then further to r2731 to get the YAYMan utility to work - that's another story though. Using the movie Jumper and an .nfo file that does not allow any IMDB download, plus the .jpg cover art, as per the other tests in this thread, I generated two simple single movie test jukeboxes. One with an 'old' movie file so it did not appear in the 'Other_New' category, and one with a dummy new movie file, so it appeared in the 'Other_New' category.
The jukebox with the blank 'Other_New' page reboots the Mini every time you update or treat it as a new jukebox, the version with the movie on the 'Other_New' page works every time.
I've uploaded both as zip files, hope you can figure it out

I need to look and see why the new category is getting generated if there's no movies in there

Please try r2751 and see if that solves the issue with the New Category
