 EPG recording - Extra settings?
Often when I record via the EPG the recording stops before the show ends (the fault is with the broadcast sometimes being several minutes behind the EPG time).
It would be really helpful iy the EPG recording could be set to run for an extra # minutes just in case!

Re: EPG recording - Extra settings?
As this is a broadcasting time error by broadcaster there is nothing we can do. We can only suggest to do a proper schedule recording to overcome this issue.

Re: EPG recording - Extra settings?
At my 5 Jears old Technisat DVB-T Recorder there was a possibility to avoid those failures: In the settings menu there was an option to set a defined amount of minutes the recording starts earlier than programmed and a defined amount of minutes the recording is longer than programmed. This means: if the time values from the EPG were set from 9:00 to 10:00 and the settings in the menu were 5 minutes and 10 minutes, the time for the recording was set to 8:55 and 10:10.
Maybe this option can be implemented in the Playon?

As per Dodger - a simple setting to help overcome stupid broadcasters!
I like Dodgers idea "if the time values from the EPG were set from 9:00 to 10:00 and the settings in the menu were 5 minutes and 10 minutes, the time for the recording was set to 8:55 and 10:10."

I support that idea of additional pre- and post recording time minutes too. My 8 years old Siemens Gigaset M740AV box hat that feature too and it worked quite well.

Re: EPG recording - Extra settings?
I purchased a PV76120 a few weeks ago and I am at my wits end with it and going to sell it on eBay. I have tried the current Firmware as well as [Release Candidate] ACR-PV76120 v8.5.x.r5440 The EPG is one of the most important features for me and it is next to useless for the following reasons:
1. You only get a one channel view with r5440. I wont even mention r3966. 2. When you select to record a program you cannot select an amount of time to overrun. 3. Changing channels in the EPG takes around a second. 4. Lack of Record Series.
Im going to go back to Windows7 Media Center and get what I can for my Play-On DVR.
