I had a problem with subs to, if there are more then 12 files in 1 directory it simply won't show ANY subtitle files while playing a movie.
Also check the subtitle setting after upgrading the firmware, default = off... i noticed.

I have put all the movie - and subtitle files in there own directory and now it works.

It seems that FreeNFS is not working anymore with the r5440 firmware.
This seems to be because when you create a new NFS connection you are not allowed to only add "\" as the NFS folder.

This works ok with v7.0.21.r4312 but not with v7.4.x.r5440.

I use FreeNFS because it is a fast, hassle free NFS v3 server (and it allows junctions from different partitions which - as far as I know - are not allowed by the MS NFS server).

Realtek SDK has a bug here with WinNFS Servers such as freenfs or hanewin.
correct mount would be:
mount -o nolock -t nfs 192.168.0.50:/c/nfstest /tmp/nfs/mnt

player currently mounts:
mount -o nolock -t nfs 192.168.0.50:/c/nfstest/ /tmp/nfs/mnt

NOTE: the extra '/' seems to give the 'No such File or Directory found' error.

So you could basically manually mount it via telnet and add this to start script. I cannot say when this will be fixed since we have to wait for realtek to do this apparently

That is great.

In case that user has switched off scanning of new added or played files, than some items in main menu can be hide. For example "video". They only ooccupy place in the menu and user has to roll more his cursor over useless items in the menu .

My scanning is turned off, for me I just use shortcuts to folders on my server, seems to work fine.
