 HDMI Problems
I connect my Mini2 through an HDMI splitter which, on all my other devices, releases control when I switch the device off or put it into standby. The Mini2 does not release control of the HDMI splitter and consequently I have to disconnect the HDMI cable and unplug the device in order to watch anything else on my TV.
This is not an ideal situation and I would like to know if it is a known fault, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
Mike

 Re: HDMI Problems
Have you checked whether it could be a problem with the splitter? I don't have any problems with my Tesco 3 way switch. If your TV supports HDMI-CEC (might be called AnyNet+, BraviaLink, RIHD or many other names depending on manufacturer) try turning that off and see if it works then. Ray Von

 Re: HDMI Problems
Thanks Ray,
I have a Sony Bravia (quite an old model). The splitter works with everything else, and I've never noticed the Bravia thing in the TV menu, but I'll take a look later. Thanks again.

 Re: HDMI Problems
Hi Ray,
I took a look at the TV setup last night and although it has a single HDMI input, there is no way of knowing what type it is, and there's no built-in software to alter the setup of the HDMI port either. Any other thoughts?

 Re: HDMI Problems
I had the same problem and used the tape option - check the thread below. It's very fiddly, but it sorts the problem. http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=16611

 Re: HDMI Problems
You can also do it without fiddling: Quote: A DVI cable contains the same conductors as an HDMI cable but has no CEC. If you take an HDMI-to-DVI cable, and then mate that with a female DVI/male HDMI adapter, the result is an HDMI-to-HDMI assembly which has no CEC connection. All of the other HDMI features (including embedded audio) will work just fine.

 Re: HDMI Problems
I've actually solved the problem, but come across another I bought a 5-1 HDMI box to solve the problem with the splitter cable, but now I've discovered that if I leave a movie on pause, and the screensaver kicks in, I can't get the movie back without rebooting the device. Anyone got any ideas? Mike
