You can download mediainfo (free) from here -> http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/DownloadInstall it, run the file, and then go to File>Export>Text> Select 'Advanced Mode' and save the .txt file and post the results to me in PM, and I will take a look. Hence I doubt this could/should be solved. nrde wrote: eentje wrote: I just updated and then downgraded the firmware again because the new firmware wont display folder names starting with a .
In unix, folders and files starting with . are hidden by default. So system, settings etc. files use that to hide them selves from normal views. I think there's a shortcut to scroll long lists easily. you can maybe try using a underscore '_' in front of your folders to move them up? I use it this way since a long time. br,

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r5440
I like the GUI2.0 much although it still is a bit sluggish. I'm only interested in playing back movies at the best possible quality and don't need the other stuff like playing mp3's and YAMJ.
In that sense what I'm really missing still is true 23.976 playback and shadowded subtitles. I have a lot of MKV's running at this fps because it is a commercial standard. On my mini I get regular stutterings once in a while. Believe me I've tried every possible setting...
Is there any change this will be supported? I read the realtek chipset just isn't capable of 23.976 playback but I also read some other manufacturers using the same chipset managed to get it implemented.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r5440
Firmware release r5440 I am having a problem with .srt subtitle files , when i play a .avi or a .mkv movie from my conceptronic nas then there where no subtitles. When i play the same movie from a usb harddisk the .srt subtitles file was recognized. With the old release r3966 there where no problems with subtitles from the conceptronic nas and the usb harddisk.
Can you help me with this ?
Greetings,
Jos

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r5440
Tried it and its like marmite, thick and hate it! Seems very sloooow and sugggggish on my PlayonHD mini 1, and the Jukebox is not good at all. My jukebox worked fine on r4824, but this new release is just pants. back to r4824 forever it seams for us HD mini 1 owners! JP AndyA wrote: Well I've given r5440 a good test and there are some improvements over the last release - The Shorcuts feature is good, I know it's been asked for for a long time and needs integrating into the Jukebox yet, but its a welcome step in the right direction - Overall speed seems to have improve marginally
Some things are not so good though, and it's all been said before so I won't rant too much this time. - I know Arne said in an earlier post that AC Ryan had not prioritised the Jukebox, as they needed to get the firmware optimised. I hope Arne can confirm that AC Ryan will now work on the Jukebox as it is still very slow, full of the same issues I've reported before and relatively unusable. A two second gap between pushing a button and waiting for something to happen while the box pulls the next piece of information off my NAS is unacceptable, handling of sets an TV series from the main page doesn't work, and there are issues with multi part films as well - to mention a few of the problems - Network speed / response time overall is still not good.
Back to r4824 again, but I'm hopeful AC Ryan will get it right soon

Greetings,
Jos I had a problem with subs to, if there are more then 12 files in 1 directory it simply won't show ANY subtitle files while playing a movie. Also check the subtitle setting after upgrading the firmware, default = off... i noticed. Good luck hope it works for you! grts Fer

It's been few months I've reported this issue. I'm hoping someone from A.C. Ryan could look into this soon. I'm hoping I can start using my Mini soon kyan007 wrote: Wireless Connection issue (Can't access when wireless router SSID hide)
Hi, I need help. Before I upgrade the firmware my Playon!HD Mini had no issue locating and registering to my wireless router. But, after upgrading the firmware I no longer able to access my wireless router. After many tries and manage to connect to my wireless router if the SSID was not HIDE.
I manage to access the network and connect to internet without issue if I don't hide my SSID. Once, I set my SSID to hidden the Playon!HD Mini will not connect even the previous network profile exist.
Previously was using r4824 Asian firmware - No issue.
Thank you.

Hiding the SSID is not very useful. Look here. So there is no reason why you cannot use your Mini.
