Hello,
I'm browsing through vaious kinds of HD Players these days and I'm curious what USB WiFi adaptor is compatible with Playon HD Players?
Is this D-Link DWA-160 compatible? dlink.com/products/?pid=656 (please insert www. in front of the URL, I don't know why I'm not allowed to paste URL on this post)
Thank you.
For the best results you should use our Wireless Dongle with the HD. We have 2 different ones. Both will work with the HD players but only the 10002 will work with the Essential.
In theory you could use other dongles which use the Realtek chipset but it's not confirmed that they will work. We only have drivers for the realtek chipsets in our software - that's why if possible use our dongles which you can obtain from our partners listed on our homepage for example.
best regards,
thanks for the fast reply,
I found this thread
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2952 and I read through every pages now I know that the 'non-AC Ryan' adaptor will work if it uses Realtek RTL8191SU chipset.
I have another question. I know this is the AC Ryan board and it wouldn't be appropriate to ask about the non AC Ryan products but it might be useful in the future. Since Playon players use Realtek chipset and Egreat players also, will the USB WiFi adaptor with RTL8191SU chipset work with Egreat players as well?
Thank you. Any answer would be appreciated.
