.srt subtitlle files not working now either......pfffft comedy show.

EDIT: Your solution posted here:

Mikael wrote:
This is unfortunately a new issue that we did not notice due to us naming our subtitles differently. We have reported this and will be fixed.

You are not able to have '.' in the subtitle name with this firmware.

To solve one of your examples ->

BBC.Invisible.World.I.2010.720p.mkv
BBC.Invisible.World.I.2010.720p.chs.srt <- Rename like this: BBCInvisibleWorldI2010720pchs.srt

Turned out to be completely useless....even srt files without '.' are not working. This is such an obvious flaw where the hell is the testing before official release?

Try this:
BBC.Invisible.World.I.2010.720p.chs.srt <-Rename to BBC.Invisible.World.I.2010.720p.srt

Maybe when the subtitle name is different from the movie file name it will cause problems.

Jees bugs upon bugs...

Its alright i fixed the issue, the menu was originally/always set to "subtitle on".,...but one day it decided to change itself to off, and naturally it threw me, only after about 30 mins messing around i checked and saw it had changed itself.

What on earth made it turn off is beyond me? i had only watched some subtitled files in the two days prior, and hadnt even been in the system menu for weeks...like i say bugs, upon bugs.

Post Subtitle Information
Hi guys.., just wanna share info for those of you who are having troubles with subtitles.
To have subtitle displayed:
1. You need to enable subtitle in the setting menu.
2. The subtitle must have the same name as the movie, example:
Superman Returns (2006).mkv
Superman Returns (2006).srt
3. If you want to have more than one subtitle, you need to have at least one subtitle "attached" to the movie file. You can do this by using mkvtoolnix (mkv merge). Then you can rename it to, ie:
Superman Returns (2006).mkv
Superman Returns (2006).english.srt
Superman Returns (2006).spanish.srt

NB: I have only tested this with mkv files and srt files. Hope this helps

Post Question: Streaming PC desktop through POHD wirelessly
I was wondering if anyone can stream whatever there is in your pc monitor to your TV?
Say like I am playing games and I want to stream my monitor display to my TV.
Does POHD support this feature? If it does, how to do this?
Thanks guys..

@weibkreuz:

I very much doubt it. You would have to find a program that grabs the video output from the video driver and simultanously stream it over network.
I guess a videosplitter would be an alternative for you. But I have not heard of one that can stream dvi/hdmi signals over ethernet. Only splitting the incomming dvi/hdmi signals to multiple dvi/hdmi outputs. And then with a long enough hdmi cable to your tv set.

You can get HDMI/DVI over IP encoders and decoders, but your talking Pro AV gear here and $$$, You could check out 'Just Add Power' if yer interested in investigating. It's still fairly new stuff and most major AV brands are still yet to market a nailed-down HDMI over IP solution.

http://www.networktechinc.com/hdmi-splitter.html or google for hdmi splitter extender.

+1
...or if it's less than 15 meter cable length to your TV, just use a standard HDMI splitter (no CAT extender output)...and use GOOD quality HDMI cable.

Im using WD caviar green 2Tb which working great so far( Firmware 5440 ). I tried copy file from my usb to the Hdd and it worked fine, just abit slow.

Then i tried connect USB3.0 to my computer together with device power cord ( abit annoying ), it worked greats with high speed around 83-93mbps. however, after i safetly remove it from my computer then unplug the usb connector, i cannot shut the device down...... i just switch it off directly, i scare it cause damages to the device...

Anyone is facing this problem ?

When I unplug the USB 3 cable, my HD2 boots into the main menu.
With this firmware of course :!:
