 Re: MovieJukebox 2.4 Released
If you've read the firmware threads for all the SDK4 betas / releases then you'll see posts from me on the subject of the Jukebox. It works but there are problems:- - Issues with sets / TV series and multi part movies from the main screen, but which work from the sets menu - Issues with characters in file names which have accents - Issues with square brackets in file names - the jukebox does not conform to the standards in the wiki - Slow performance if the Jukebox is on a NAS - Truncated titles They have been reported several times, and we are waiting for AC Ryan to fix them

I generated a jukebox for a movie directory, but as soon as I point the Playon to it, the Playon box reboots. I tried this with two different movie directories...

 Re: MovieJukebox 2.4 Released
There are few articles and posts in the YAMJ forum which deal with the problem - it's not always straightforward to solve

 Re: MovieJukebox 2.4 Released
Hi,
Bought my Playon!HD late in 2010. Installed latest official firmware (r4824) and installed Yamj 2.4 on my Playon and installed the GuiConfig 1.03 in 2011. Everything worked fine. Later I tried te beta version of the firmware. Then about 10% of my movies had a problem. All moevies showed up in the menu, but when I select some movies, the cover was not shown on the moviepage and sometimes even the text's did not show up. After pressing the Play button I got the message: "No video file found." Switching back to r4824 solved this problem.
I reported this on the forum of the beta release.
Now the official firmware release came out (Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r3966 ), and I tried again. Same problem occurred. Any idea what may be the cause of this? Any others having the same problem?
As far as I can see, the effect is random. It occurs with different types of mioviefiles. There is nothing special in the titles that might cause this behaviour. Cannot find anything wrong in the html or xml codes that are being genereated for these movies.

 Re: MovieJukebox 2.4 Released
I got YAMJ working last night and ran into similar issues where cover missing in info page w/ "No Video File" error. Initial thought was it's the file path in the XML but this doesn't explain why most other movies works.
A bit more playing around showed that by renaming the movie files to the simplest form like "Avatar (2009)" without "_BluRay,X.264,REPACK_...***" solved the problem. I recommend following the naming tips (thx AndyA): - No square brackets "[ ]" - use round ones instead "( )" - no accented characters - no multiple '.' characters - Keep names short, and stick to alphanumerics wherever possible
