When you run update.bat a second time does it tell you it has already been run and required undo.bat before you can run update.bat successfully?

The folowing acties I have done.
I have re install the new firmware on the POHD2.
Also I re install TViXiE2Playon!HD(Build.2010.9.7) + udate.3.1

I use win7 (32) with dutch language. My router, linksys E1000

When I run update.bat a second time, the player don't tell me it has already been run and update for de second time.

You have to rerun the configure.bat. Probably the IP address of you PC has change after you run the configure.bat. The error was reported in a log file but not captured correctly (see files\out.log, you will see a line like

I have rerun the configure.bat. but still

ERROR: Failed to download files to player.

Configure.bat says, pc at 192.168.10 and player 192.168.1.11 in this is correct.

Can I update the player via usb and if I can how? What does ###.###.###.### mean?

The player can reach the PC (which has IP 192.168.1.10) but is unable to make a connection. Do you have firewall and/or virus scanner that blocks connection to port 21 of the PC? Can you try to run update.bat when firewall and/or virus scanner are temporary offline?

You can not, the modification must be made to the writable part of the flash that only can be accessed via telnet or ftp. To prevent manual (cryptic) actions I created the bat files to ease the job. The ###.###.###.### means an IP address that is different for everybody. It consist of 4 times max 3 digits with dots in between. Because you do not get the Unknown error 148, that means host unreachable, the configure.bat has been run successfully.

Try without an active firewall and/or virus scanner and let me know the result.

I must turnout my firewall, open een port was not enough.

Hi, to drag up this post again, I have just aquired my Playon!HD2, always had Popcorns before, but changed to this due to lots of good reviews.

I used to use YamJ on the popcorn so knew what was going on here when i installed this to the AC Ryan, But it is soooo Slloooowwww.

I saw this post after searching through the internet for a different faster jukebox.

I have installed all the components, done the extend, changename and configure parts, all went ok.

I have done all the files and folders with ThumbGen, now where my problem lies is using the Tvixie2Playon!HD file, it opens, i set all the paramerters open the movie folder and it populates fine.
Change the profile to Gui 2.0, back to the biuld menu and click.

After about 5 mins of what seems to be doing nothing I get a window come up stating Access Violation.

any one have any ideas??

I have a Playon HD2 Firmware v9.5.3.r5440

Network connected via Router, Have tried with USB too.

Windows 7 Ultimate.

The network is all working ok, i can telnet, ftp and browse the box.
