Shane,
Good work. Did you try renaming Track 11? Might be best to delete Track 11, rename it, and then add it back rather than rename it in situ.
Stick with it.

Hey, I only renamed the track number part of the filename which is the first two characters of the name, eg; '11 Songname.mp3' to '12 Songname.mp3' ...but still looped.

Will try messing around more with tag info and filename later on. Will also try re-converting MP3 incase there is some corruption...

Found another bug..

If you copy files thru Samba with this firmware you only get 2MiB/s..
Downgrade to the last firmware and speed is back to normal (7-8MiB/s)

I looked at a jpeg image over my network last night and when I pressed return on the remote, it rebooted the player.

It was the only image it did it with but thats pretty harsh (especially after many firmware releases).

The same image is fine on my computers its just a small jpeg nothing unusual about it.

When will this machine finally be able to play embedded subtitles in .mkvs. I've been waiting for this for ages. Hell, the crappy xtreamer has been able to do this since it's first product.

I have a problem that noone else seems to have. I upgraded to latest firmware, and all my content seems gone from the HDD. Its still there, my pc sees it, but when connected to TV it shows no data.
So i removed it all, formatted the hdd, put 2 new episodes on it but i still have same problem. Im about to put an older version of firmware on it, cuz it was quite flawless then. Anyone have another suggestion?

Enable auto scan in the setup menu and let it scan and see if it then picks it up (resume scan might also do the trick).

You can turn scanning off again later.

My .mkv fast forward and rewind issues (it wouldn't stop going in ff or rw if I pressed play or resumed play later) have been fixed with fixing a frame rate in handbrake vs same as source. It bothers me I have to resort to re-ripping movies and converting them to .mkv with workarounds such as this.

Other players may behave in the same way if the frame rate is not manually set (I haven't researched) so I don't know who is to blame for making my life more difficult than I'd ideally like it to be. If its the software, so be it. If its the player, it would be nice if I didn't have to tread as carefully as I have been in order to get things like this to work adequately.

The issue I was having with iso files however still exists. The program used to rip the dvd's is DVDFab Qt 8 (across all recent updates). The issue exists whether or not I use DVDFab to create the iso or Ashampoon burning studio. The program doing the ripping in both cases is DVDFab however.

Last night I transferred a lot of mp3 files across to the player. For the first time ever, I was asked if I wanted to scan the disc (or words to that effect). I said yes and the player basically froze. I was greeted with the same message each time I restarted the unit after it had become totally unresponsive. I'd given it what I considered ample time to resume at least responding to the remote but waited in vain.

I had to attach the unit to my pc to get the issue sorted. An error check and fixing the associated errors remedied the problem. What bothers me is I shouldn't have been dealing with that issue in the first place and I shouldn't need an external device to fix the problem.
