Is it possible to reinstate the FIX IP Address function for the Wireless Setup? it is available in one of the earlier version. I personally feel that it is more stable using FIX IP.

I have a problem with youtube:

When I installed the first GUI 2.0 firmware the youtube option appeared, and worked.

After installing the second GUI 2.0 firmware the youtube worked for a while, but suddenly it started to tell: copyright infringement

I hoped that this problem would be solved in the 5440 version but it is the same. After the installation it worked once, then the copyright infringement message appears on all materials, and the unit keep skipping the files.

I cannot enable FTP server on this version.

It says that the HDD could not be found. It also keeps asking me if I want to format the drive.

I disabled the question to format the drive in the setup but cannot get ftp to work.

Pfff aren't u people testing a firmware before u release it.
Now everything is fucked up.
I first upgraded from v7.4.x.r4585 to this new firmware.
After a while i was getting network troubles and couldn't see any files across the network.
So i decided to downgrade to v7.4.x.r4585 because that was working good.
Now i still can't see any files across the network.
Some files wich i moved over to the playon before the network troubles seems to be gone and if i start a movie it's starting always another movie but not the one i selected.

I had similar problems on missing files as well as playing of the wrong files. I did a Chkdsk via USB and found that some files were corrupted. That's why I rolled it back to v7.3 firmware. All the v7.4 releases so far seem very unreliable!

Indeed, that's what I'm thinking for the last couple of firmware releases. This is the fourth firmware which is not working properly.
It looks like we are some sort of beta testers...

I'm using 706r3875 on a PV73100. And I'm still have to roll back to that one, for the last 4 firmware releases.
734r3582 - no spdif passthrough
734r4824 - no spdif passthrough
744r3966 - spdif passthrough is working, but no AAC
744r5440 - spdif passthrough is working, but with AAC my receiver thinks it's dolby digital or DTS, but it can't figure out how many audio channels are in it.

I do not understand how can you release a new firmware without proper testing. This is allready happening third time.

The last firmware 5440 is again just crap.

1. Unit keeps restarting, when you turn on the scanning.
2.Really slow start if the unit because of the scanning. (deleted Theatre folder, useless )
3. Most Annoying!!!. The cooling Fan is always on also after shutting down the player.
4.all internet applications (youtube, mediafly, etc) withou sound.
5. Shoutcast does play any radio. just say error....

arghhh

Can somebody tell me which firmware is the best. Otherwise I will ask for my money back...

Until now really bad experience with this player.

I think you missed some releases if you think this is only the third bad firmware

But, I see you registered in 2009... How in the world are you thinking of getting your money back for a machine that you've owned for such a long time? If you have a way, please share, cause I think more users would be interested

Well first of all,

You missed the point what I was asking for... is there any firmware which is good for use and all functions are working properly? The other think is that if you live in Slovakia every think is possible.

I have bought one player in 2009, the other one in 2010...think before you say something ok?
