Post How to auto play AV-IN mode on PV76120 v8.5.3.r3966 firmware
I use it in initial firmware but now i upgrade my unit to this firmware.

Firmware_PV76120_v8.5.3.r3966_Asian.zip for Playon!DVR-HD PV76120

It's current firmware. I have no idea to auto play AV-IN mode.

Please, tell me how.

Thank you.

Post Can "AV-IN" be set as DEFAULT in Firmware 3966?
I recently upgraded from firmware version 3582 to 3966.
Under 3582 I could turn the ACRyan on and press RECORD and it would default to AV-IN.
Under 3966 I have to wait for it to boot, then Press :Browser", "HDD", "Rec", and "AVIN".
Q1: Is there a way to set AVIN as the default so it behaves in the easier, simpler way 3582 did?

Under 3582 I had created a number of folders under HDD.
Scheduled recordings have gone to AVIN and to a directory/folder under AVIN named OTHER.
Q2: Is there a way to set the default recording area where new scheduled recordings will reside?

When fast forwarding under 3582, a visual progress bar would display on the bottom of the television showing how far along the fast forward (or rewind) had gotten.
Under 3966, you have to press “INFO” to see some small text on the bottom left of the screen – which disappears after 10 or 20 seconds (you can press “INFO” multiple times to see it again before it disappears).
Q3: Can the 3582 visual progress bar please be restored in the next firmware release?

Thanks.

Thank you for reply, stevej2

The problem is, i have a set-top-box that i plug-in to PlayonDVR for record or time-shift function sometime.

[ Set-top-Box]-->[PlayonDVR]-->[ TV ]

I always play AV-IN mode to watch television program.
I need to turn PlayonDVR on then it boot into AV-IN mode, no need me to press any buttons on remote like old firmware do. I can do this in an old firmware.

Thank you,

Post Re: How to auto play AV-IN mode on PV76120 v8.5.3.r3966 firm
Hi kkjd
Thanks.
I have a similar setup as you have described ([STB]-->[PlayOnDVR]-->[TV]).
Arne, AC Ryan Staff, responded to my post which I submitted directly on Mon Sep 19, 2011.
Encouraging response although I would like to see a firmware upgrade that provides for a choice of input so that I could specify AV-IN. Then, if I wanted to manually record something, as opposed to Scheduled Recording where you can choose AV-IN, I could simply turn on the power, wait until the display indicated it was ready, then press Record (or again for 30 minutes, and again for 60, etc).
After upgrading to firmware 3966, after turning on the ACRyan, a menu comes up with a menu with "DTV" the first in the list. I then have to press the down button to go to "AV-IN".
Maybe I'll download the prior firmware (3582) as it does a couple of things I prefer over the current one - - - and wait for the "feature requests" being available in the next release.
Regards, Steve
