 Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD Mini2_PV73800_v9.5.5.r5440
Well yes i am watching the movies from a External Harddrive, you thing the I/O error is created from/on the Harddrive?.
I have downgraded the Mini2, and will give it a try, to see if i can get the error again and in that way rule in or out if it is firmware related

Hello, I/O errors usually indicate to hardware, in this case it could be your USB-HDD. I would use the latest firmware for now, and see if this happens more. If it does, then check your USB-HDD with Windows if you can fix damaged files or segments on it. The file you posted is not supported by our hardware: Format settings, GMC : 3 warppoints = We can do 0,1 and 2 in this setting. This has to do with a setting that increases image quality. You can read more about this here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_motion_compensationBr,

And the I/O error is Hardware error on my harddrive, and i have to check it with a hardware program on my Computer. The fact that i can't get it to reboot again after downgrading the firmware is of no importance?

Issue with not remembering 16:10 aspect ratio is still valid in 5440 firmware. Detailed description here: viewtopic.php?f=173&t=15047Is it really so hard to fix it if others are remembered fine? It is getting increasingly frustrating to manually set it every time I turn on my mini2.

@ShadowJRJ
So to sum it up, i have to re encode the files in order to see them on the Mini2, as it does not surpport GMC 3. = Yes, this due to the hardware not able to have a high setting like that.
And the I/O error is Hardware error on my harddrive, and i have to check it with a hardware program on my Computer. = Possible, if you check your USB-HDD with Windows 7, and test again, if it still happens? Then use the Playon! without the USB-HDD connected to see if this issue would not happen without it connected, this to troubleshoot the source of the problem.
The fact that i can't get it to reboot again after downgrading the firmware is of no importance = If you upgrade/use the latest firmware with safe mode method, without your USB-HDD then I believe this might not happen. If it does, let me know. Perhaps even send me a PM so we don't use the firmware thread for support.

Hello, As already mentioned in that thread as well, we are aware of this and have had focus on other parts the last weeks of firmware development. I'm not a coder so I'm not able to tell you how hard this might be, but I will check and remind our developers about this. Thanks

Thanks Thanks and sorry for being a little too hard on you, Mikael. Good that this issue hasn't been forgotten. So nothing left but wait. Hope it will be fixed soon.

No problem Just for everyone's information, if we have replied to your issue/bug/development request and a staff has told you that we have reported or confirmed a issue. This will then be in our internal bug tracker and we can't forget them. However, you can check status of these issues with us, but just so you know that they are being worked on, based on priority and some we are able to fix, and some we have to enter the closed SDK, and only Realtek can do this. Re: [Official] Firmware_Playon!HD Mini2_PV73800_v9.5.5.r5440
I've just installed the latest update and found that I had to set the box up completely all over again (logins, screen size, subtitle settings, etc.).
Is this absolutely necessary each time?
