Nevertheless, they are in seperate folders.
I got a folder named DVD with subfolders named after the respective movie in which the Audio_TS and Video_TS map resided as well as a cover image. I have to go into the Video_TS folder and select the .ifo file in order to have it play.

So far, yesterday, before the new firmware, it worked this way....

hmm, weird.
Could you try renaming the DVD main folder in something random? Perhaps the acryan recognises the folder named 'DVD' and tries to be smart with it.

hmmm...weird....i renamed the folder, and just to be sure deleted the .theatre and .part folder which the AC Ryan has put on there and i still have the same issues. (renamed DVD folder to 'leuk' and made a new folder named 'Movies'.
Same problem exists.

Again removed .theatre file and .part file and renamed the 'Movies' folder to 'My Movies' and now both the folder 'My Movies' and 'leuk' show correctly.

Worthwhile mentioning is that the other thing I changed is 'autoscan'. I did it manualy first but have put it on 'on'.

So, the final test:
changed to 'My Movies' folder back to DVD and using 'auto scan' for new media on 'on'.

Result: it works
Conclusion: is this a feature or a bug?

Then, next issue that arises now:
when I'm watching movie XYZ and press 'return' on the remote it doesnt go to the previous page but it goes back to the movie I was watching before movie XYZ.
This prolly is a bug.....

This little update doesn't solve the sub bug on HD container (wasn't mentioned in the changelog but hoped for).
I have find out the problem occurs when their are 1) multiple srt files, more then 1 gives a no subtitles message, or 2) when their is an embedded sub with other external srt files, if you're lucky you get the embedded one or none (multiple embedded) or you get nothing (multiple embedded and external srt). One embedded and multiple srt does only show the embedded one.

Movie structure is as follow:

Film
-film.hdcont (mkv, mp4, ....)
-film.1.srt
-film.2.srt
-...

No subs when multiple srt
No subs when embedded and srt (on some occasions only embedded one)
No subs when multiple embedded
Subs with one srt and no embedded
Subs with one embedded

My Dune is en route but maybe you can save the mini from the garbage can.

My Mini2 was working fine and was hesitant to perform this update, due to bad reviews, but did it anyways. It is working fine and i love the new features. great job. thank you.

And Yes please set the "Favorites" Option to one of the not-used buttons, this would be awesome!

Well done on getting the 'Shortcuts' menu working - the wife hasn't touched the AC Ryan since I got it due to having to navigate through 7 'clicks' to get to the movie list or kids programmes.

Now it's Shortcuts..Movies and she's there - finally the £90 outlay gets wife approval! It makes the WD TV Live seem clunky now

I just confirmed this as a new issue/bug. Apparently, if you have a '.' in the .srt file name. It will not be found. In this case, also the '-' seems to give issues in findings the .srt file, if it's the first letter like you have.

In your example, if you rename your '-film.1.srt' to 'film1.srt' it should work.

I've reported this just now to our development team.

With this update i get lots of reboots (well it doesn't completly shut down, i get a error showing. I/O Error, showing real quick, then it just goes black for a few seconds and then i get the "dashboard", and the message, restarting NAS) when playing DivX files.

What are you doing when you get this? Could be hardware related in worst case, perhaps you have a USB-HDD connected?
