Stop teasing the poster - yes you have to add the two lines again if you re-flash the firmware!

Not everyone is technically aware! The poster might have assumed that newer firmware would automatically start the UPnP server. The current firmware has a bug which does not start the UPnP server (even though you set it in the user interface). Editing the startup script is a technical "workaround", which shouldn't be needed!

That's right, but if he read the quote if put here, he could read that with a reflash he should edit the script again. You don't need technically aware yo read....

Ok maybe it's a language/nationality/environmental/psyche/cultural difference ;)

but when someone writes:
"...Do I have to add these 2 lines eachtime I install a new firmware?"

the answer is either yes or no :)

If you want to remove this again you can simply delete the two lines in the end of the rcS file again or you just safe-reflash your firmware.

But lets stop this, i think he knows the answer now...

Hello,
Thanks for explaining but stil I have a question
How do I use the ESC-key. When I press ESC on the keyboard nothing hapends. And do I need to type the # after the ESC? Cause if I do so, an errormessage appears.

Not needed to put in # sign. Just press the 'ESC' button and than ':wq!'. ESC will just leave the input mode and get you back into command mode.
