ok, so not too old then.
If its the same for good and bad files, then it's not a format of XML issue, it's likely to be an issue of the data scraped and therefore the interpretation for the PoHD
Can you look through one good and one bad and see what the differences are? Size of plot, accented characters, etc.

Re: Loading index.htm causes reboot problem - help!!
I also got same problem now. After I fixed with my MKV & ISO file issue ( viewtopic.php?f=127&t=15177), now I get a problem with my 2TB external HD. In my PO!DVR-HD and 2 other external HDs, the index file are ok, My ext HDD have same condition: - Full format with NTFS. - Connect to PC/PO!DVR-HD using USB from Nextar Bay HD dock. - Scan & fix every time when it connect to pc. I follow what you guys discuss here, but the problem still exist. So, I just grab my head and shout: help...help..

Re: Loading index.htm causes reboot problem - help!!
This may help ...
I have a Mini1 & a Mini2 both running latest beta fimware r4585 posted 1 Jul 2011 (GUI v2) My movies & Jukebox folders are on a NAS & streamed over a wired LAN.
Everything was OK until I did an update and ran YAMJ Snapshot r2612. (I use YanFoe to create nfo files as I find this more convenient)
I had the same problem as reported in earlier posts on this thread - when updating the Jukebox on the Mini, the unit would start but very quickly re-boot. If I tried again but this time not updating on the Mini, the Movie Wall was there & movies would play but the Filters were not functioning - not possible to select by alphabet on the TITLE , for example - only ALL was listed.
From previous experience, I know that updating on the Mini adds a bunch of files to the Jukebox folder (concerning Title, Genre, Year, etc) but now only 2 files were added before the crash ... Other_new.xml and Other_All.xml.
Thinking that some aspects of YAMJ could be hard coded into the firmware, I started over using the most recent ACRyan release of YAMJ (based on a v2.3 beta of YAMJ, I think). I had to adapt it for my player paths of course.
Short answer to a long story - the problem is solved - no more reboots!! And so my advice is - give the ACRyan YAMJ release a try.
It does appear that there is a disconnect between the ACRyan firmware developers and the YAMJ guys.
Comments anyone?

Can you look through one good and one bad and see what the differences are? Size of plot, accented characters, etc. I did some comparisons and noted two consistent differences... 1) The good files have nothing under artwork poster. Example: (I used "+" to indent them as they are in the XML file because leading spaces didn't work when I previewed this post) -<artwork> +++++-<Poster count="0"> ++++++++++<url>UNKNOWN</url> ++++++++++<LARGE downloaded="false">UNKNOWN</LARGE> +++++</Poster> While the bad files do have data. Example: -<artwork> +++++-<Poster count="1"> ++++++++++<sourceSite>themoviedb</sourceSite> ++++++++++<url>http://cf1.imgobject.com/posters/011/4c493bf27b9aa115fc000011/the-da-vinci-code-original.jpg</url> ++++++++++<LARGE downloaded="false">UNKNOWN</LARGE> +++++</Poster> Note that both have identical info for <PosterURL> and <PosterFile> in the section above these entries. 2) Genre data is different between the two. Good example: -<genres> +++++<genre>Thriller</genre> </genres> Bad example: -<genres> +++++<genre index="Genres_Thriller_1">Thriller</genre> </genres> Which may point back to what I mentioned in post #17 dated Wed Jul 20, 2011 12:01 pm. Hopefully that helps. Thanks!

Just curious, on two points - 1) Can you clarify which download you are referring to when you say "the most recent ACRyan release of YAMJ"? I am pretty certain I am using that with ver. 2.4 as noted in the this forum on the front page as a sticky thread. And I am using ver. 1.0.3 of the ACRyan GUI, which I also believe is the latest. 2) When you say "I had to adapt it for my player paths of course" do you mean basically edit the Library file to point to your movie files? I believe that is essentially what the GUI helps to do, so just clarifying how exactly you are using YAMJ - with GUI or setting the paths manually. Thanks!

The download I'm using is the ACR YAMJ installer package v1.0.3 which I found here ... http://www.playonhd.com/en/?upn=supportIt incorporates YAMJ 2.3 BETA r2110 dated 26 Jan 2011. I used it as is and did not update it to YAMJ 2.4. There are differnces in the default skin in these 2 versions (59 files/332kb versus 63 files/401kb) and I suspect that aspects of the default skin are hard coded into the Mini and that therein lies the problem. I'm setting my paths manually because my Movies are on my NAS and the Jukebox folder is in a separate folder on my NAS Hope this helps

Then edit the XML files by hand to remove the "artwork" section entirely (it's not used yet) as well as removing the extra library information with the indexes: Code: <genres> <genre index="Genres_Thriller_1">Thriller</genre> </genres>
to Code: <genres> <genre>Thriller</genre> </genres>

Re: Loading index.htm causes reboot problem - help!!
Same here: Playon HD (1) 2 Tb: Yamj Version: 2.4 Revision: r2251: WAS OK, but IMDB in front of some names. Yamj Version: 2.5-SNAPSHOT Revision: r2617: Reboot when loading jukebox. Just connected pohd to usb, repaired some errors on disk. Delete jukebox, rebuild, same problem. Now building 2251 again for testing...and a reboot again! I don't understand! Yesterday it worked oke.. Could this be a cause? I tried to index a small subfolder for testing a new skins. After that everything went wrong. I deleted the test files. And I tried building a jukebox from a different second computer. Again reboots, now I'm trying a complete clean install of r2251..reboot..getting desperate!! Now updated my pohd to latest version, still rebooting. I'll backup everything and format hd.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After backing up, formatting HD and putting 3 dvd-movies back, the jukebox made with YAMJ 2.5 r2617 works and loads fine! Now I will try some HD movies and Blurays. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One day later: putting all the movies back on my POHD took 15 hours, building new YAMJ: Ac ryan says: no html found.... Moved some movies and made new jukebox with r2617....reboot!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: made a jukebox with 2251 from a few 15 movies. All oke. Made it with 2617: reboot ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4 days later: Now I'm back to where I started: back to GUI 1.0 and using 2251. I'm glad I can load a jukebox again. Now I'm editting my nfo files, then all is oke again...pfff...cost me a few days!

Re: Loading index.htm causes reboot problem - help!!
I have same problem and I do not know either YAMJ is not working properly in GUI 2.0 or bug in GUI 2.0. In my Playon!DVR-HD 76210, the movie folder is look like below:
|movie |---------|ABCDE |--------------------|MovieA |--------------------------------|MovieA Set1.avi |--------------------------------|MovieA Set2.avi |--------------------|MovieB |--------------------------------|MovieB.mkv |--------------------|MovieC |--------------------------------|MovieC.iso |TV |---------|Serie 1 |--------------------|Season 1 |--------------------------------|Serie 1 S01E01.avi |--------------------------------|Serie 1 S01E02.avi |--------------------|Season 2 |--------------------------------|Serie 1 S02E01.avi |--------------------------------|Serie 1 S02E02.avi |---------|Serie 2 |--------------------|Season 1 |--------------------------------|Serie 2 S01E01.avi |--------------------------------|Serie 2 S01E02.avi
All the movies were stored in External HDD and make the Jukebox by using YAMJ 1.0.3. a. I flashed PODVRHD with fw:4824, every thing were ok. b. I flashed PODVRHD with fw:3966, problem. No thumbnail and reboot. c. I flashed PODVRHD with fw:4585, problem. No thumbnail and reboot.
Finally, I known the cause of the problem. If I delete or not include Folder MovieA and Folder Serie 1\Season 2, YAMJ is ok.
Conclusion: If we want to use YAMJ and GUI2.0, do not make Movie Boxset or put the TV serial more than 1 season.
