everything has gone OK so far!! database is still there. i just reactivated it in the menus.

I haven't had a big play with it yet! but why does the auto scan scan every time you turn it on. should it not just scan if something new has been transferred?

I have another suggestion - Music. on the right it still have the file name rather than the title. could you not have a table like format that has the track number - artist - title. We don't need to see the mp3 extension do we? is there anyway of utilizing the the number buttons on the remote so you can go straight to the track number you are after? so if i push 5 it should go straight to track 5?


ooohhh i like that! just seen the new screen saver! with the track info on the bottom! and that's not the file name its tags put together from the mp3!!!!

i think you need a space between the "-" though!! otherwise pretty good

While watching a dvd iso, whenever I press fast forward and increase the forward speed to 4x, the player skips forward a chapter.

When I am fast forwarding at less than 4x, it continues playing in fast forward as I'd expect it to. Whenever I increase the speed to 4x, it skips a chapter. When I press play immediately after it has skipped forward a chapter, it skips another chapter then too.

The same behaviour occurs going backwards also.

My experiences of the new firmware:

The good:
1. Menus much faster - at last !
2. Startup and shutdown more responsive than before
3. AVI/XVID no longer suffers from "unknown start code" errors when streaming from NFS share (brilliant fix)

The bad:
1. Only on wireless, the "goto" and "info" button stall playback. This problem had been fixed previously but appears to be back. Yet on wired connection I don't experience this problem.

With YouTube, when I click on video links, the window comes up as it should, but it then scrolls quickly through all of the videos that were listed in the previous window until it gets to the last one; and it won't play any of them.

Exactly how do you create shortcuts?

Is there no way to edit the home menu items? Movies, Music, Image, Jukebox etc are things I never use. In fact, one could even remove the setup menu item because the remote has a setup button.

Having a Shortcuts menu is basically the same as using the file manager. You only skip the devices option in the end.

why has my network dissapeared , there no workgroup showing anymore can i flash back to previous version. this unit gives me nothing but troubles.
also the strangest thing is happening, my playonhd2 is on a wired ethernet cable but when i turn the unit on it disables the wireless in my modem. i have tried this several time and each time it disables. i think i will flash back to previous firmware to see if it solves this problem.

I installed this latest firmware and my network can't detect playon hd, before this firmware (Playon!HD2_PV73700_v9.5.3.r3966) I don't encounter this kind of problem whats wrong? I already tried manual setup for LAN in case there is a conflict on IP address and still can't detect.

Major subtitle bug! Cant have more than 15 subtitle files in a single folder, if more it can only list first 15 subtitles files!!!
I have a single folder with hundreds of video & srt files, only the first 15 videos can load the subtitle, the rest will prompt"No subtitle"
I did test by moving 20 video files to a single folder, only first 15 srt files can be loaded!
HELP!!!!
