 Re: [BETA] ACR-PV73800 v9.5.5.r4585 Playon!HD Mini2
Ok, I've been resisting updating my firmware since i bought my unit and finally took the plunge upgrade from 1867 to this...
Everythings ok so far except the audio. No sound via HDMI to the TV(Picture ok), but sound present through optical to the AV receiver in LCPM and passthrough. I used both options on the setup/audio menu of LCPM and passthrough with no result. I've re-installed the firmware in safe mode initially and again now with no change. Any fixes please or I'm back to the original
Thanks

Got the HD2 mini two days ago.
Discovered some problems during slide-shows of photos. It already happened three times, that the HD2 mini reboots when pressing "Stop" or "Return" during the slide-show.
Cheers,

Thanks Hello, Could you (if possible) try to use another USB-stick for the safe mode process, and make sure that it's formatted to FAT32. If you still have this issue, please let me know what AVR+TV model/brand you have if not successful. If possible, please also check/try other HDMI cable. Br,

Cheers, Hello, How did you playback the photos? USB-hdd, network, what network protocol did you use? Any more details that we could use to reproduce this issue. Thanks

- mentioned a couple of times earlier but the random picking of subs is annoying. - not sure if it has anything to do with the beta, probably not which would make if a feature req: when playing music, we get a nice-ish screen with, usually, some tag info. using the 'exit' / 'return' key brings us back to the basically the same listing. wouldn't it make more sense to go 1 level up?

PS3 Mediaserver/DLNA not working with this firmware?
My ps3 mediaserver worked before flashing, now it doesn't. Might be random/something to do with my network. But I thought it was worth a notice

A small bug: When playing a video at higher speed (e.g. 2x) and pressing the 'skip forward' button, the player returns to normal play speed (which is OK). However, the indication on the top of the screen of the higher speed remains there.

Problem not only occurs when pressing STOP or RETURN but also after the last image of a folder when slideshow automatically stops. Same issue with an USB harddisk formatted with NTFS. Cheers data68

Seamless branching problem with Blu-Ray ISOs
There's a problem playing movies in BD ISOs which use seamless branching. When the branch should occur, the Mini 2 will sometimes pause for a second or two and then play correctly, more often than that (and more seriously) it will stop completely and all you can do is stop the movie, or it will jump to completely the wrong part of the movie, picking the new point apparently at random.
Here's a couple of examples:-
'Paul' - this disk includes both "director's" and "normal" cuts of the movie, and uses seamless branching to insert the additional scenes. Quite early on there's an extra scene at the comic convention, but whether playing the normal or DC version, when the Mini 2 gets to that point it skips about 10 minutes further into the film.
Battle: Los Angeles - The Mini 2 constantly flicks forward through the movie, the first half an hour of the movie plays in about 10 minutes on the Mini 2.
Thanks,
Ray Von
