I do suggest you load via safe mode flashing firmwarea 3875, then 3582 then 3966. It shoud work, please also try using a newly formatted USB drive.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73800_v9.5.5.r3966
hi Roger.. i am using safe mode when doing my upgrades... tried all these versions r3966, r2988, r2073, r1731 and even the newest beta but it all stops somewhere between 50% and 75% of the progress bar... btw, where can i find firmwares r3875 & r3582?
thanks again...

My bad, im so sorry i mistaken it for HD Mini1 (PV73200). All those firmware you mentioned are the only available firmware for your model. Do try newly formatted drive on FAT32 format.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73800_v9.5.5.r3966
no worries... lol...
i have reformatted the USB to be FAT32 everytime i copy the install.img... btw, i'm using a Mac and it would usually have these hidden files in the USB, would that be the reason?
i'm doing the following steps: 1. removed the electric wire at the back or sometimes pohd in standy mode (red color power switch) 2. insert usb drive 3. hold down power switch and insert back the electric wire or just hold down the switch if on standby mode.. either way i would hold on to the switch for about 15 secs. 4. release hold and will see the same menu of the pic in my 1st post. 5. then update stops.. sometimes the usb and pohd would still have the lights on but most of the times there are not lights..
i really don't know what to do now... with all the available firmware, which should i start installing??

Your USB should still reflash the firmware even if you have files in it. have you try another USB drive that you are sure off that is clean, without any hidden files.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73800_v9.5.5.r3966
working now... i used another usb drive and it worked... thanks a lot... my problem now is that i can't add my network settings.. the mini2 is wired to my router but i used to connect wirelessly to my iMac... i can't press the edit button while i'm in the network menu... where do i add my file sharing settings now?? <edit> figured it out... everything's working fine.. though using NFS now as File Sharing is still a dud with OSX Lion... hopefully this will be available soon...
