It seems that the problem with Samba that was disconnection every couple of hours, is solved in this beta version... I'm running stable since three days now, No disconnections anymore .. .

I just installed this firmware. My first impression
1) the screen stutters also with this firmware. I have to put it back to 720P 50 HZ
2) Shoutcast does not function well. Hard to look for you radio station.
3) scanning is standard, that makes the system extremely slow
4) you have to throw away the history files. This also make the system slow
5) undertitles automatic on works well
6) youtube is functioning better

On one of the previous releases it was possible to let the video come through through the HDMI and the RGB channel.

I love this option because I use it to record something to a laptop and watch on the TV since the laptop screen is much to small for this, lot of other screens needed on it.

But now with trying on this release, I am unable to get the video both through the HDMI and the RGB channels.

Is there an option that I am missing to activate or is this no longer available?

It probably needs an "Are you sure?" question as there is no way back after powering off by browser other than with the remote control or by pushing the button

do you know what i would really find usefull? A way to play a song on the device without adding it to the playlist or any other tricks. just plain and simple, enter a address in the browser: for ex: http:\\playonhd\play.cgi?song=c\media\album\song.mp3

this would automatically stop the device current action and just play that media. Can we do that? can we?

thank you. i'm sure this would kick ass. someone will make a 3rd party app that shows the songs.. turns this into a real media device.

Besides some issues/bugs i will post later, i first have a question about the subtitles because this annoys me to the limit.

Ever since the beginning the (external) subs on the Play-on are greyish and difficult to read on brighter backgrounds, due to the lack of proper shadows on the subtitles.
Lots of users including myself have complained about this issue, but even up until this Beta, the issue is still there.
I remember it being a little bit better (but still not satisfactory) in one firmware.

Subs should be whiter and have more shadows, so the readability will improve.

Can you please fix this in the next Beta ?

If WakeOnLAN support was added then restarting would be possible

+1000 !!!

This will make the overall movie watching experience 1000 times better, IMO.
I hope ACRyan will acknowledge this as an important issue to fix in the near future.
