Safeflash via USB from both r3966 and 7.3.x.r4824. In both cases did muliple reflashes (both safe and sys). Flashes back to r4824 makes the Playon stable again not rebooting and with a stable SAMBA, so its noting about the procedure. The 7.3.x.r4824 is ok and with a stable SAMBA. Still bugs but no reboot or dropouts. The 7.4.x.r3966 is not having the reboot issue (when enabling the Clear History option), but have severe SAMBA dropouts. The 7.4.x.r4585 The Clear History option is locked on disabled, therefore reboots every minute joe_kitch02 wrote: For those who are having Samba issues, are you on Wireless or Wired connection? Using it on a Wired connection is awesome but cant guarantee connection on a Wireless setup for possibilities of network dropouts which is not caused by Samba but by your Wireless router or wireless device plus the signal around that can affect the wireless connection too - i.e. cordless phone and other wireless devices. I am on WIRED. The v7.3.x firmwares works with a stable SAMBA (never had a single dropout) . All the v7.4.x suffers severe network dropouts after miutes. I use the european version with auto IP in all versions T

Re: Bug r4584 Playon!HD Partial turnoff
Ok, so i installed this "r4584"(another version is shown while installing though) fw and got some things working it seems.
Video playback does seem a bit improved, especially mpeg2 is markedly different. This used to stutter badlyWhile i'm not sure the elusive "true 23.976 fps" issue is finally resolved, at least i haven't noticed any micro stutters yet.
Some things seem about as fast as in r4824, while some things(such as logging onto samba shares) take significantly longer. It's quite hard sometimes to read some of the text for me, both on my CRT as well as projector. The main interface also suffers from bad flicker on 50 HZ CRTs due to thin horizontal lines.
The main issue vexing me right now is how to choose categories in the Setup menu. I use a universal remote and it seems i never bothered teaching it the needed buttons(next/prev track?). Does anyone know of an alternative way to choose categories in this menu?
Streaming from a samba share is working for me 100% so far. Playing back video sometimes hangs, audio keeps playing.
Choosing audio tracks, while much improved in those cases where there are a multitude of tracks, has been made a lot more complicated for titles with just a few tracks. We need a "select next audio track" function but appreciate the menu.
Resume play doesn't seem to work for me. It will popup a window but when i hit ok it will just keep playing from the start anyway.
Good job on the fw though!

I upgraded to this and now the Thumgen created movies sheets are randomly not displaying right.
Most display the cover image which is named the same as the movie file, while others correctly show the 0001.jpg. I can't seem to find any reason for it?
All my movies are on a SAMBA share.

Just tried it and it works better than the official release, at least Samba doesn't crash all the time. I did get some GUI errors, moving images turned cyan and i got grey noise on the background of the home screen (just like when you have a tv set between channels) And pressing the setup button on the remote while playing a movie resulted in a crash and a reboot.

 Re: [BETA] ACR-PV73100 v7.4.x.r4585 Playon!HD
I keep all my movies in the same folder and that results in that when I have show subtitles on it picks the first subtitle in the list instead of picking the one related to movie. So now I have to browse through all my subtitles every time to choose the correct one. Never had this issue before with previous fw.

 Re: [BETA] ACR-PV73100 v7.4.x.r4585 Playon!HD
I'm loosing content and some content loose sound and freeze while watching.
I then stop and play it again then it works fine.
Some content get corrupted.
I'm not saying this is the firmware's fault, but this started happening since using gui 2.
Any ideas?

 Photo quality bad
Hello all,
I just wanted to use the Playon for showing photo's I took with my Canon SX30IS (14 mb pixels), but I found the quality very poor as if the pixels are being pulled down to a lesser quality. Details where blured and not as they should be. If I use the Sony TV, Sony Box or LG Blu-ray then the quality is good, but wit Playon the quality is far away from that.
Can any one confirm this?
Regards, Hans
