Post Newbe with a lot of questions
acquired Playpm!DVR HD with 2 TB HDD.

Being more or less an Hacker :) I was able to connect TV and Playon and initiate TV-programs.

For normal user not being in the business it could get frustrating reading this kind of manual. This is a manual for freaks and not for normal users.

Here my questions:
- where do I find a proper manual for the GUI (old and new)
- where do I find a executable for Win7 Ultimate for connecting to the Playon or is this done by a browser connection.
- is a direct connection to a PC HDD with VBO/IFO or ISO images for being played on the Playon! possible
up until now it makes fun. For Blue-Ray I connected a regular player to AV/IN.

Hi rvervecken.

You can download the manual from the A.C. Ryan homepage but I think it is only the old GUI.
As far as I know there exists no manual regarding the GUI2.0

This depends on the feature you will use.
If you want to add schedules you have to connect via web browser. Choose the IP addres of your device and use port 1024. (e.g. 192.168.1.10:1024)
If you want to browse your files the best way seems to me to use the NAS functionality of the DVR. If you have activated it in the DVRs menu just use the IP address of the device to open the samba connection.

Sorry, but for this question I have no answer.

1. Sorry to say that new manual for the new GUI is not yet ready, for the old manual please see the link http://www.acryan.com/downloads/manuals/ACR-PV76120/English_PV76120_Manual.pdf

2. Its either you do it via direct USB connection, or via network. As dodger suggested do try first to turn on SAmba under the player setup then on your computer you can just type in \\192.xxx.xx.xx then your player HDD will be displayed as an external drive. or http://192.xxx.xx.xx:1024 for you to browse the neighbor web.

3. Yes those format are supported by the player. But if you connect it direct via USB the player function will be disable and it will only act as an external HDD, in this case you can only transfer files. Then after copying you can play it.

Sorry for being late. Business run as usal.

thanks for all answers. As I am in Germany, if you need help on translating in German, I would be glad to help you.

Another question:

After having updated to the new GUI I noticed following behaviour:
- scheduling a recording through EPG started 2 hours after recording time. I noticed that EPG presented local time + Time Zone. Short: there no way to schedule recording a program on time., except for direct recording. Any guess what I am doing wrong????
(time zone: Rome and summer time set)
- Where do I find my scheduled programs?
