[How to] Control Transmission from an Android phone
Remote control via Android is easy.
Download Torrent-fu from the android market.
Set up a profile and select Transmition as the client.
Enter your local IP for your HD2 box eg 192.168.1.7 and 9091 for the port.
Leave user name and PW blank.
Now browse and download Torrent files on your phone. Simply click on them in notifictions and select your profile and Transmission will start downloading them.
You can of course use the app to manage your downloads and if you set up port forwarding on your router (and dynamic DNS for location) you can manage your torrents from anywhere.

Re: [How to] Control Transmission from an Android phone
Hey,
I m wondering, how do you set up your port forwarding into local ip's port?
So let's say my HD2 is 192.168.1.100, then my Transmission is 192.168.1.100:9091 if I typed it in my PC's browser under local network...
... How do i set up the port forwarding in my router? So I put a (random) port (let's say 12345) that forwards to 192.168.1.100? But that forwards to the HD2, not the transmission program within HD2....
Please enlighten me! Thanks,
