Zeryus, you are right! You need to wait for the first subtitle to appear before you can change the setting. Another bug.

Yesterday, a few seconds of my BD-ISO movie got skipped while playing. I try to replay but to no avail. I don't have the problem when playing the same movie on r3996.

This firmware was applied 4585 last Friday 17:00 hours.
Board now: 1073DD C+
Played well let's say 4 times Friday and Saturday.
Turned it on today Sunday: got the Unknow hardware error.
After some restarts unable to get it to work at all.
Installed v. 3966 which has not run on this board before.
I hope that version would work longer .......
After making the unit powerless for 30 seconds I also
got with the 3966 version the Unknown hardware error.

Put it back on 4585. Gave it another chance.
After working well for one day turned it on next morning
again the black screen with message: "Unknow hardware..."

PV73200 Playon!HD Mini
Board:1073DD C+
Connected HDMI to Samsung 7000 series (UE40B7020)
Wired 100 Mbit network with fixed IP

In the meantime problem fixed using a new replacement 1073DD C+
motherboard, running version 4585.

No, it still does not!

And I wonder if ACR is listening to the users regarding this...

All this could be avoided if ACR was able implement/add the position and size options in the subtitles main menu in Setup -> Misc.
I kept wonder release after release, how come ACR does not see this as a major option for all users...

In fact it is even worse. I keep series in a common folder, each episode also has an .srt file. Beginning with r4585, it is the first .srt file in the folder which is opened, regardless of the file names. You have to manually select the .srt file in the subtitle menu. If you happen to have more than 15 episodes in the same folder you are out of luck, because the subtitle menu only shows the first 15 files, and you cannot select the correct subtitle.

Automatically selecting the subtitle file with the same base name as the video has worked in all previous firmware versions I have tried, including r3966, but it is now broken.

One problem do not be solved for PlayOn HD mini 1. It steel can not eject DVD disc from external unit after the data is loaded. Eject button of external DVD do not work and remote control do not have "blue button" for eject. The disc can be ejected only at the beginning (after turn off/turn on), before scanning.

If there are not disck into the unit, the eject function is normaly (efect button from DVD are actively).

On the other hand, "Confirm" button of remote control do not have any function. If it is possible, it can be alocated for eject DVD, the same function with "blue button" from Play On 2 remote.

I have A.C.Ryan PlayOn HD Mini, r3966 firmware (the last) and Samsung external SE-SO84D. An LG unit had the same problem.

I'm looking for a solution.

Does anyone know if it's now possible to login to personal youtube accounts on this firmware as I think this was recognized as a bug in v7.4.x.r3966? It would be very useful to access my favourite channels through the mini as the current search function produces lots of random results.

PS: hats off to the folks at AC Ryan for sticking with this and (gradually) improving the functionality. Now being able to access TF1 French news in Mediafly is a bonus.

PS to previous post: I can login in to youtube on the previous firmware using my youtube user account details but a "no service" dialog box appears. Is this now fixed on this beta fw?

just two questions:

1. is thumbgen working correctly now? means: in preview i can see the movie thumb and by pressing the remote i will see the further information of the movie and after this i could start the film?

2. is the bug solved that the remote sometimes is recognized two times when pressing a button?
