We are happy to announce our new beta firmware.
Below you will find links to download this new firmware together with the change log and instructions on how to install this firmware. Please make sure you get the right firmware version for your product.

Fix time indicator mis-matched when doing a time skipping (pressing left/right button) after a GOTO operation
Fix incorrect YouTube view count
Fix during video zoomed condition, pressing 'audio', 'subtitles' or 'info' will reset zoom mode
Supports Underline and Italic parameters in SRT subtitles
Supports both ID3v2.4 UTF-8 and ID3v2.3 UTF-16 tags

Known issues:
*Please use Setup>System>Screensaver>Options>Default (don’t use ‘Photo Album or ‘Flickr’ or system might crash!)
*Playback of .avi files with NFS protocol will not work.

The flashing Procedures: We have 2x separate ways to flash your firmware. We strongly recommend you to use the ‘Safe-Mode method’ when it’s the first time you install this new firmware.

Safe-Mode method (*recommended!):
1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Shutdown the player.
4. Press and hold down the power button in front of the player for 15 seconds.
5. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

System update method:
1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Go to Setup>Misc>USB Upgrade and press 'Enter' on your remote control to confirm.
4. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

!!DO NOT POWER OFF THE UNIT WHILE FLASHING! THIS MIGHT CAUSE DAMAGE AND RESULT IN DEFECT HARDWARE!

What a about the problem with samba (network drops, nearly impossible to update indexfile in jukebox) are we near for a solution yet?

This version same as before, I tried playing upnp from my playon mediaplayer and not working.
Flushing back to version Firmware_PV73100_v7.3.4.r4824_European works without any problems.

Anymore feedback on this one?

I recommended POHD to a friend and it has not been working properly for 4 firmwares now. Main issues with network, Samba, BT.

I am responsible for all the tech support for the friend now and it is a pain!

Can someone confirm those are working well or is it best to downgrade to 4318?

Good work, wasnt expecting a bugfix release this soon! I'll try it out later today.

However, I was wondering if you guys have looked at this bug I posted in the thread of the previous firmware version. It seems to me that this is a faily simple bug, easy to reproduce and easy to track down.



The only way to get rid of the pause symbol is by rebooting the player. So you can imagine some frustration when I need to reboot each time I'm watching a movie and use the pause / instant replay combination. Which I use often, because the sound only starts playing after a few seconds when resuming the movie (due to the spdif / home cinema combination I guess). So I use instant replay instead of pause so I don't miss out on anything.

Why is the safe flashing mode recommended anyway? What could happen if I use the normal way (via system menu)?

And what do you mean with 'installing this firmware for the first time'? Like in ever, or this version? Why would I install this firmware multiple times?

Bugs:
The Fw does not remember the size and position of external subtitles (It did till r4824)

You can’t acces a hidden WEP network (Also worked till r4824)

Random crashes

Sometimes crashes when entering setup.
