Known issues:
*Please use Setup>System>Screensaver>Options>Default (don’t use ‘Photo Album or ‘Flickr’ or system might crash!)
*Playback of .avi files with NFS protocol will not work.

The flashing Procedures: We have 2x separate ways to flash your firmware. We strongly recommend you to use the ‘Safe-Mode method’ when it’s the first time you install this new firmware.

Safe-Mode method (*recommended!):
1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Shutdown the player.
4. Press and hold down the power button in front of the player for 15 seconds.
5. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

System update method:
1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Go to Setup>Misc>USB Upgrade and press 'Enter' on your remote control to confirm.
4. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

!!DO NOT POWER OFF THE UNIT WHILE FLASHING! THIS MIGHT CAUSE DAMAGE AND RESULT IN DEFECT HARDWARE!

Nothing about WiFi connections Owh well, gonna give it a shot anyway.

73200 with 1073DD chipset and a AC Ryan WirelessN USB Adapter 300.
Again no Wifi Connection.
SSID shows up perfect in the SSID list with 90-95% reception. According my DHCP Client list, the Mini does get an IP when connecting via WEP or WPA(2). But the tests return fail and no connection is being made. This also happened while using 3966. Older FW's(4828 and before) do not have this problem. My SSID is not hidden.

edit: Tried WEP, WPA2 (my AP won't do WPA1), with AES and TKIP passphrases. Not encrypting the network doesn't solve it either(not securing your network is a no go anyway). Tried switching channels(tried 7 channels).
I tried by renaming my network from "Wi-Fi in the Sky" to "wodan".
I tried by changing my password to an all lower capital alphabetic one.

I noticed that when I submit the password the inputbox for the password shows less dots for my password as before I pressed the OK button.

It's good to see a new beta firmware out so soon after the last official release, and with a good list of what's been fixed. I hope this is AC Ryan geting back to regluar updates to correct the bugs. I'll be giving this a test as soon as I get control of the TV, PC, and POHD Mini all at the same time

Thanks for this update! For me now the unit doesn't crash anymore when I press SETUP during movie playback which is a major improvement! However, it still crashes when I try to start a movie while an mp3 is still playing. But that's easy to avoid by just remembering to press STOP first.

Way to go, ACR ... I hope this is the start of regular firmware updates. My POHD is using a 1073DD C+ board. After upgrade, I encountered the following issues:

1. Tags like {y:i} in subtitle still show up. What kind of SRT tags is actually supported in this version?

2. I have set Subtitle to Off in Setup. When I turned on subtitile during movie playback, I have difficulties trying to adjust the subtitle display settings (e.g. font size) through the on-screen overlay. The settings widgets (to increase/decrease value) does not respond to my key press on the remote control although I am able to navigate between the settings. I need to play around with various key press on the subtitle menu before it finally responded to my remote control for value setting. I still could not figure out the key sequence to make it works!

3. Still no DTS core passthrough for DTS-HD MA audio (in MKV and BD-iSO) when set to HDMI passthrough. The DTS-HD audio is downmixed to stereo. My Sony receiver is connected to POHD using a HDMI cable but my receiver is capable of only decoding DTS audio. DTS audio works fine though for all movie formats. Could someone tell me wether this feature will ever be supported for non-HD receiver?

My observation is that you can first change the position and size of the srt sub after the first word has shown on the screen.
Also, just after the first word in the sub has shown, I could then use "arrow up/down" to change the sub position without entering the subtitle onscreen overlay.

Does not work for me. I cannot access my computer share. I can see the shared folders, but not access then. It says "logon failed" after I fill in user/passw. It works with old firmware.

I tried the first SDK4 beta, and it was the same back then.

I have 1073DD board

Also, where is the picture settings? I.e. Brightness, saturation etc.. These needs to be changed drastically, at least on old firmware.

Back to old firmware. AGAIN!

I have the following issues:

Subtitles still don't show up when connecting using UPnP, tested with .avi and .srt file

As mentioned in the opening post, its no longer possible to view .avi files when connecting with NFS. This is a pain because that was the workaround for the subtitle issue.

Mkv file with multiple tracks (AAC and AC3): When I switch from the stereo channel to the 5.1 channel, I get no sound and the image is being fast forwarded.

Mp4 file with multiple tracks (AAC and AC3): sound ok but the image freezes after a few seconds when selecting the AC3 track. No matter what the setting is in Sound > SPDIF.
When I choose an AAC stereo channel and SPDIF: LPCM this problem doesn't occur.

I used Handbrake to create the two test files mentioned above.
