@Arne and theLD
Re: the hardware issue PV73200 purchased 21-Jan-2010 in Bergschenhoek (Informatique)
Used a fresh (slow) formatted 256MB USB stick. Installed firmware, reflash using Safe-Mode method, v. 4312 -> 3582 -> 3966 B.t.w. it reports flashing a 4860 version. Never mind. After finishing v3966 there was no self-reboot! I got the hardware issue.
Tried also reflash using Safe-Mode method v. 4312 -> 3582 and finished reflash v3966 thrue the Menu This also resulted in the hardware issue. Apart from the USB stick there is no hardware attached like a HD. I use a NAS. But before creating my shortcut to the NAS I got the hardware issue. A never had any problems before. Used version 3582
Any other suggestions?

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r3966
well as we say PPP!
its running OK speed wise now, much better than the beta I tried, but for me YAMJ is broken. There is no longer the filter for "New" and the sets no longer work corrctly, they just show no videos.
I've gone back to r4824, I even tried the mede8er one just to see what that was all about!!

@JamminJP The Jukebox problems were reported when the beta was released - and have not been addressed at all in the issued r3966 firmware. They've also been reported to the bugtrack mailbox If any of the mods can get any info out of AC Ryan - or if someone from AC Ryan would reply on the Jukebox issues in GUI2.0 it would be appreciated.

@TheLD 3875->4824 -> 3966 same story: unknown hardware issue Also version 4824 gave the unknown hardware error. Thanks anyway
@krakie Thanks for your reply Re: hardware issue.
Bought a brandnew 4GB DaneElec USB stick Used another pc and applied Safe removing of the hardware every time. Reflashed using Safe-Mode method, v. 4312 auto reboot OK back to -> 3582 auto reboot OK upgrade to -> 3966 had to reboot manually Installed language and fixed network IP Left it off for two hours. Turned it on by remote controller. I got the unknown hardware message.
Board: 1073DD Bl:0000.0202.1026L
Tried another HDMI port on my Samsung UE40B7020 using a new version 1.4 HDMI cable. No luck. After making it powerless I sometimes have luck to get it in normal operation. And than it works perfect. After switching it off and next time on: -> hardware issue
Suggestions?

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r3966
I have loaded the new firmware. It is working great for me (speed included), except for 2 things:
1: I can't work out how to delete files. I would have expected it to be in the menu related to the file being played. There may be something at the bottom of the file list / browse view, but the text is too small to read on my display (approx 560 lines). I hope this is just something really obvious. However, I had possibly related problems with V4824. The delete wasn't working in that case. I tried Medi8tr, hated the interface, loaded V4824 back on, and the delete worked. I have tried re-flashing V3996 with no luck.
2: The font is not the best. In setup there is only the default font. Presumably there is a way of adding fonts-otherwise why the option?
Any suggestions? Note: I run my mini in possibly the most basic way. I have a 500GB HD full of recorded TV. I fill up from the main PC by walking the HD to the next room. I delete after watching (when delete doesn't work, I do this on the main PC as well). Effective, yes. Efficient, no. With respect to the firmware, all I really want is a clear, good-looking, basic, list based interface.

Suggestions? @Arne. I followed your instructions to the letter, but i still get the hardware error just like 4Wheel. Board: 1073DD C+ Bl:0000.0202.1026L I guess it must be something with the firmware cause i have a different board compared to 4Wheel, but still the same error.... Any help would be nice, i would even send it to you, if it would help finding a solution! BTW. I have another mini...no problems and a mini2...no problems either

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73200_v7.4.x.r3966
Can you guys please include some kind of normalization feature in audio for HTIB's? The night mode feature makes a little to no difference. Plus i noticed when playing contrast/brightness test patterns through the mini i don't see the details in them to calibrate as i do in my PS3 my tv settings are the same for both!!

Its better, but not as good as you know whose software, having said that. At least the original box is still being supported and is still on sale, not sure why though when the mini 2 has been out a while.
