 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73800_v9.5.5.r3966
I've logged the following bug in the new firmware via the bugtracker:-
1. Model: ACR-PV73700 Playon!HD Mini 2. 2. Firmware: v9.5.5.r3966 3. Repreducibility: Often 4. Setup: Onkyo reciever to Samsung TV 5. Operating System: Windows Server 2008 R2 6. Description of problem: When playing Blu-Ray ISOs with Dolby TrueHD soundtracks, the audio is downmixed to Dolby Digital. Pressing "Info" on the remote shows the audio type as Dolby Digital. Pressing the "audio" button on the remote, selecting a different soundtrack, then switching back to the TrueHD soundtrack results in the Mini 2 correctly displaying TrueHD as the audio format, and it outputs TrueHD correctly.

I have the same issue as Peter.Stephan.
No sound on SPDIF passthrough. After booting I first have to switch to SPDIF LPCM I believe it's called and then switch back to SPDIF passthrough in order to get Digital out. After restarting the Mediaplayer I have to repeat the routine to get Digital audio out on the SPDIF.

Hi All,
I have been of the forum for some time as I am quite happy with my MINI2. Though navigating to my NAS is still inconvenient.
When I now surf through the topics most critical items (one of them I mentioned above) have still not been fixed. Come on ACRyan what are you doing all day? i will not install the new firmware as it doen't cover any "upgrades" I need and I use the mini2 almost on a daily.
Lets hope that the next firmware will bring improvements I, and I think many others, look for! Guess we need to wait another 2 months for that.
Thanks, DF

The following issue stay the same from the firmware v9.5.5.r2988: ->> No Sound, with S/PDIF passthrough, with file with AAC sound (MKV file H264/AAC). And with file with "DTS-Master", only stereo is played (I posted this issue). The SPDIF Bug has been present for a while now. It is not possible for us to fix this without the help of Realtek. The issue has of course been reported already and might get fixed in an upcoming SDK Release. As for the DTS-HD MA sound - it is not possible to play DTS-HD Master sound through SPDIF (coax, optical) due to its bandwith limitations. We do agree though that it should still output the 5.1 Core DTS. Currently it will downmix to Stereo when using SPDIF and playing DTS-HD MA sound. As soon as we are able to fix this we will inform you with an updated firmware of course. Sorry for any inconveniences this might cause! best regards,

Thanks, DF I agree. What annoys me the most, is the impossibility to alter/change the shotcut "menu". Now i first have to select "Bestandsbeheer", then "Network", then the network where the server is located, then select the Server, and then finally i can select what i want on the Server. The Mini 2 is working oke, but the interface still sucks big time. I'm thinking of selling the Mini2 and buying another mediaplayer that has a more user friendly interface.

Hi Arne,
Strange thing is that I didn't experience the SPDIF bug with the previous firmware release. Or has the SDK been updated between these firmware releases?
Regards Robert.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73800_v9.5.5.r3966
My samba shares on my linux server aren't accessible anymore after I made the firmware upgrade. When I try to make a connection to my linux samba server I get the message "Logon successful" but no shares are visible. Even when I change the password of the samba account on the server I get this message. Is there an option to reset the samba account information of the server in the player so I can enter a new username and password for the connection?
Best regards, Harry

Best regards, Harry You could install the firmware in the safe-mode again which will erase all previous settings and set the device back to factory defaults with new firmware. Also make sure that the directories / shares on your Linux Server have the correct permissions for the user. br,

Hi,
- Search radio in Muzee does not work correctly. Station not find and then manually find in the list with the same name, which I was looking for. - Sometimes when run radio playon freezes. I must to disconnect power! - Keyboard in messengers (ICQ) now work correctly. - Playon not sleep well when set up in 5 minutes. - Transfer with Samba work, but is very slow. Max 2MB/s. Others players have up to 5MB/s.
Windows 7 Ult. 32-bit, Router Cisco Linksys WRT120N.

That's why I was surprised it connected to my samba server without asking for a username and password. Is there another way to remove this account so I can enter a new username and password? Best regards.
